Standing by for the story of what happened on this one.

BAM, me too. Wah Wah, I want update! Wah!
EDIT - Oops, accidental double post
I have a number of computers behind my router, 2 of them are likely to be playing demigod, usually in the same games. Is it going to be impossible for me to have both computers use a direct connect? Is it possible to direct demigod to use a specific port range? Or even just a specific subset of the 6100 - 6200 range?
An issue I haven't seen addressed here is that you get experience for every wave of extra creeps your team spawns. Seems to me that between that and warscore, the portals are definitely worth your time. Also, keeping enemies spread out in different lanes is always helpful for quick kills....
WOAH, HOLD THE PHONE! You're telling me I get experience when my OWN creep waves spawn? I wasn'
Just think about it. What are the odds of all of that happening, and then a glitch happens to my post of all the other posts in the thread? The odds probably aspire to zero.
The odds are slim, but probably not as slim as you think they are... I'm a programmer, I see crazy stuff happen on computers all the time, considering the volume going through this forum I think it'd be odd if you DIDN'T see something weird happen at le
I did save the replay You can go to mydocs/my games/gas powered games/demigod/replays and rename the last saved game there... it's not a supported feature but you can watch it.
Please post the replay, it sounds like an awesome game!
Interstingly enough it doesn't work at work using chrome, I'm not blocking javascript, nor is google blocked, however I do have privoxy installed with a bunch of add filters so it's possible that one is giving it some grief... It's no big deal though, I don't really need to search through threads that often
I haven't come up against it before but I'd imagine the response is to capture and hold flags, and to try to predict where the enemy is going rather than chasing after him. The biggest value in this technique is if they can get to a flag, kill some creeps, capture the flag, then have you charge at them, they lock the flag, teleport way over the other side, where they can cap another flag and kill more creeps while you have to leg it. Basically if you don't have teleport scroll
Towers have a certain range so you shouldn't have been attacked by a tower outside its attack range. If you were struck by lightning or something then this is something else.
There's a visual effect that makes it look like towers are chaining up from miles away to deal damage to you. From what I've read and how it appears to play this is nothing but an effect. You will take damage that depends on how many towers are in
oh great, a debate about determinism in a "tips for new players" thread, that's just what we need. Can you guys take it to PM or something? Luck may or may not play a large factor in games, but as a new player it's probably more useful to pretend that there is no luck and look for things you can do that tend to result in winning more.
There are some maps with creep portals in the middle. Is it worth while just letting the other team have them (so long as you're ahead on war score) so that your team has extra creeps to farm with? I'm not sure it is, as warscore seems fairly important and it also seems that they don't tend to join existing waves, but go right around the outside where you're not going to be fighting them too often... What do you guys think?
On your difficulty with towers, here's a few pointers: 1 - Your early game goal is to level up your demigod and capture flags. Towers are goign to kill you, stay away from them. You can level up by either capturing flags, or killing demigods, but the most common way of leveling up is simply to be near creeps when they die (creeps are the little guys who spawn in regular waves and are completetly controlled by the AI) 2 - If you do 20% of damage to a
I don't think comanoodle is trolling, but I think you guys are baiting him a lot more than is responsible and he's doing a pretty good job of not rising to it. I'm glad frogboy responded and as per usual I can't find anything to disagree with in his comment. I do note however he doesn't address the skill bug or the pathing bugs directly at all, but I guess you'd have to assume that they're not class 0 or 1 (those two classes are usually reserved for bugs
I think the community views it as a human multiplayer only game, however the game throws in AI in skirmish and pantheon games, and also when people disconnect, so if they're going to be in games, we want them to not be a liability. As it currently stands, having an AI player on your team is worse than having one less team mate
Popping mist and bat swarming costs mana. If erebus is a fair way into a fight, chances are he's pretty low on mana, quite often I've got enough for a finishing bite and that's it. If he pop's mist and isn't behind his own lines, you can just wait for him to come out (it's a good time for you to pop a potion or a HoL) then gank him. If he bat swarms and you've got any sort of range or speed to catch up to him he's most likely pretty helpless Both shield ab
Quoting KenoLFD, reply 19Quoting TheTrav, reply 18well I play erebus and I was playing a game the other day and I bat swarmed in and bit a UB and he didn't die! Don't try to tell me that's not OP cause he should have died and he didn't, and then he spat on me after hitting me for a whiel and then I died! That's totally OP and you should nerf UB cause he should hav died, he's was only 1 level higher than me too and I don't think
Rook, Oak or Sedina seem to offer the best deals in that order. Rook -> living in a pretty nice neighborhood, well protected borders Oak -> living in a pretty crap neighborhood, but at least you won't be conquered Sedina -> great medical plan but you'd have to be a vegetarian
No kidding. If we had a time machine now we would go back and have done that.
Will you do it with your next multiplayer title?
You'd basically be trading a bit of their health and a conversion aura for quicker access to higher level powers (bat swarm and regen at the same time). I guess I'm not sure how important the health upgrades on the rolly poly's are, once I get bat swarm I tend to use it on the creep waves a lot which refreshes your minion pool pretty quickly
well I play erebus and I was playing a game the other day and I bat swarmed in and bit a UB and he didn't die! Don't try to tell me that's not OP cause he should have died and he didn't, and then he spat on me after hitting me for a whiel and then I died! That's totally OP and you should nerf UB cause he should hav died, he's was only 1 level higher than me too and I don't think those towers even had upgrades so you should totally nerf UB, or if you don't wanna do that cause of fa
I've been doing a little thinking about erebus builds and have a few questions 1 - Has anyone tried holding off on low level upgrades so that you can unlock multiple things when you hit the level requirement (I normally hate having to chose between regen and bigger pet swarm) 2 - Does mist form affect buildings? Does stormbringers 10% mana jump work from mist form? Can this be used to destroy citadels with impunity?
Proto, take a look at his post ignoring the piracy related comments. Stardock/GPG should have a free demo version of their game, surely that's something that's a worth while suggestion isn't it? As an aside DeeBeeP, have you considered an online purchase? It's cheaper and since you've already got the game files you won't have to download it all.
Can I wear three boots of speed and run like a kenyan? What about BoS and Journeyman Treads? Can I use multiple weapons and gain benefits from all of them?
