I can't wait to see all the mod techies out there work their magic and breath some new inspiration into this game. Though I truly love Demigod as is, who wouldn't highly anticipate new, user-created content? The possibilities are [insert cliche here].

Interesting idea. I think favor items should come in all shapes, sizes and flavors, so I am for anything within reason. This idea indeed sounds neat for "suicidal ...cap locking maniac[s]." - andpancakes
Shadow it's not an exaggeration ok? I was away from my citadel and soon as it started getting attacked, I ran back towards it, by the time I got there it was a few thousand HP away from death . Look at my record, and then come tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm a good player and you aren't looking at the big picture. Sometimes a combination of Demigods can not possibly counter that strategy. I couldn't do sh
+1 Great post. Explained here in lay terms are indeed just a few of the most important subtleties which greatly enhance skills in this game. - andpancakes
They can't stay at the crystal for the entire duration of the match. That's just ludicrous. If they did and were just sniping from there, simply go on the offensive. Start taking out towers and capping flags so their team begins to need them in different ways, and they'll retreat if they're smart (if not, and they continue to snipe, then'll get way behind on war score and lose towers; their loss, not yours). - andpancakes
I'd like to see flag locks on portals only active for ~20 seconds instead of 45. This would help to deter the immediate shift of focus in end game that the OP mentioned, and I feel it would encourage people to more often defend portals that they have locked (whereas most times it's a matter of locking and bolting because 45 seconds it quite long, often long enough to sacrifice yourself to lock the portal, die, resurrect, then port back and re-lock). However, on all other
It'd be nice if I could use a flag lock to unlock the flag that was previously locked by the opposing team. You should have to buy Keys. They should cost 500.
/signed
Disclaimer: The following is pure speculation. Could it be possible that there is some sort of hidden debuff between same-team flag locks to prevent exactly what the OP was trying to do, which is chain-locking? I wouldn't be surprised, as it would make sense to me for the sake of game balance, but I haven't actually noticed it or tested it, so I'm just throwing it out there in case any of you know for sure there's no such thing.
I was almost certain that flag locks could stack. I didn't realize it was such an ambiguous issue. Either way, though, I think the problem here was due most likely to crazy lag or UI bugs and less likely due to some exploit (thought an exploit wouldn't surprise me). - andpancakes

Not in my experience. At the very least, it doesn't seem to reset/add to the duration. I locked an already locked flag as it was about to expire, and it did expire a few seconds later. This. The previous lock had just expired, which I had anticipated hence me traveling back to it to re-lock it. So, I went to re-lock it, and so mere seconds after I did, my lock was somehow removed by the approaching enemy. Even if it hadn't expired yet though as I went to apply another lock, one can re-lock an already locked flag.
My buddies and I were basically sealing the deal in a 3v3 on cataract. We got to giants first and kept locking the top left and right flags. However, something was either a) bugging out b ) there is a new v1.1 item that I am not aware of that unlocks a flag lock or c) new exploit where someone is able to remove a flag lock before 45 seconds (or possibly d) there are diminishing returns on flag locks)?! &
Sly_Squash, I agree. Sometimes all one can do is lead by example. - andpancakes
This has been happening to lots of users. It seems to be sporadic and caused by no hardware issues in particular (though this is completely unfounded and a mere hunch). Rather, I believe it happens to all players occasionally. And even if it seems to be happening to you consecutively, I am under the impression that that's just bad luck; it will pass, until the next bout of random crashes occurs.
People are jerks. Please, if you anticipate that you might not be able to finish a game, don't even bother starting one up. I had someone drop on me today in the most intense moment of the entire match because apparently "girlfriends > video games." And yes, girlfriends do trump video games; however, don't bloody join a match if you're on a tight leash and if there is even the
Yeah the crashing thing is extremely unpredictable and sporadic. I'm now almost certain that the crashes have nothing to do with an individual's hardware. Rather, I really feel that it's a coding issue in Demigod. There might be something in particular that players are doing (e.g. spam clicking? who knows?!) which triggers these crashes and yet other times does not. Some official comment would be nice. I myself have been crash free
Actually, even though it prompts you to "buy" a favor item every time (despite having previously purchased it), I still think the game recognizes that you don't really need to spend any points. I could be wrong, but I think it's just a display bug that says we have to buy something which we know full well we already paid for in favor. I also don't think our favor pools are being affected. Like I said, I think it's just some sort of display bug. To summarize, f
I'm not sure which aspect exactly needs reworked, but I suspect that Tower Rook will get a nerf in the future.
Hmmm... still no mention of Torch auto-attack in Fire Mode, which makes me think it's intended. Interesting.
Honestly, I don't mind that. It encourages me to constantly shift forms, and when shifting into ice-form, you get the +dmg bonus anyway.
Excellent. Can't wait to get home and play a few matches. Then, I'm off to see Transformers 2. Now that deserves a W00t.
I'm glad that people at least realize the exploitability of AI.
I like this idea. And who's to say that any of the proposed user-created content would have to become official? That's what custom games are all about in most genres - free reign for mod support. There could even be a sub-category of custom games called "community custom games," for instance; here there would be only user-created content. It would keep the online gaming experience in Demigod perpetually fresh, and SD/GPG could just s
It seems to have died down. I'm not sure what was going on, but in this past weekend alone I feel like I've had more crashes to desktop and to the debugger thing than from launch until now combined. Granted, it was still only like 5 total crashes this past weekend, but 3 of them were consecutive. I began to think it was a hardware issue in my system; however, I've since played like 15 games without any crashes. Who knows? Maybe we'll get
