Supreme Commander, and to a lesser to extent it's sequel, have some of the best Co-Op RTS action around. Starcraft II's Co-Op is pretty lacklustre, frankly. One person spams ground units, the other spams Air units, and you steam roll your opponents. If it's online Co-Op, then in Starcraft II whoever has highest number of Zerg players is going to win.

I refuse to accept this.
After tweleve years of seemingly endless false starts, cancellations and delays, and after the single longest development in video game history, Duke Nuke Forever is now a game I can never play. Way to fuck it up at the 11th Hour, Gearbox.

For one thing, unless someone hacked into Crytek, or broke into their office physically, this has nothing to do with pirates...
DRM in general has little to nothing to do with piracy, however that doesn't stop Publishers from claiming that's what it's for. The moment the game hits the net - even in a near-but-not-quite-final-state - it becomes the subject of piracy. Do you really think t
It's hard to remain positive about the future of PC Gaming - that doesn't involve Facebook, I mean. Crysis 2, complete with the DRM Master Files for Online Authentication, have been leaked some 48 days early. Check out the news article here . I suspect things like this are the reason why most developers now focus on Consoles, where Piracy - while still present - represents a much smalle
It can be difficult depending on your audience, such as with Activision Blizzard games, where the active and vocal members are usually teenage boys who suffer a deadly case of "entitlement" syndrome. In this instances, it's difficult to see the real problems amongst the garbage. However, ignoring your fan base entirely - like EA Games or Activision Blizzard - isn't the answer, and leads to things like World of Warcraft, where the developer changes to fundamentals of the game every
Elemental lacks any kind of scripting, which makes adding content to Elemental easy, but changing Elemental nearly impossible. Most modders do not appreciate this. When a new thread is created, often the first replies will be "this cannot be done". Sometimes, you can work around the problem, but most of the time you cannot. That, in my opinion, is the primary reason for lack of mods.
I tend to agree with this. I was very intere
Ah, Trolls. After posting this, he'll go back to cleaning up kiddy puke at his local grocery store, before being called into the manager's office and fired for leering at the female customers.
I disagree; while some movies are bad all the way through, often enough the start of the film is decent, and it teeters off into craps-ville about half way through when it becomes clear the writer and director didn't have a good enough grasp on the tone of the film, it's characters or emotional flow of the film to engage an audience for the duration. Dare Devil, for example, had a decent enough opening and then became fucking horrible about thirty or so minutes in. The Direct
It seems Duke Nuken Forever is really happening . The latest trailer shows off a lot of cool stuff really fast, and packs in some good humour as well. Definately not for the children, though. One thing I noted from the trailer is that the game feels dated... and yet, I'm totally Ok with that. It's weird. The graphics aren't mind blowing, the set pieces don't look like something that takes 12 years to make
There's a fair bit of difference, however I've only played the base game of SoaSE. Imperium Galactica 2 has a little more depth in terms of non-combat options, though it's combat is still decent it can't really compare to SoaSE which has more depth there. IG2 also had the SimCity aspect, which SoaSE kind of lacked and ultimately planet development became a bit of a bore - at least in my opinion - compared to what IG2 offers. IG2 also had it's campaign story intersecting the

The point of making a game on Facebook is revenue generation. This is either done through in-game advertising or charging the player for content; buying the game's currency and using it to purchase in game rewards or advancement. Being as everyone is chasing FarmVille and Zynga's profits, the latter seems more likely - in which case I'll be passing. I'd don't pay someone to remove the arbtrary progression locks on what is essentially a tread-mil game. I'd rather play C

Oh boy, this is like a second Christmas! Do you guys ever feel guilty about all the people who spent their hard earned money to buy the respective terrible games you helped make and hype? I imagine the guilt isn't quite at the level of war criminals, but it's definitely more than say people who commit petty crimes. Does it keep you up at night? How do you manage it?
