You guys read Wheel of Time or played Warhammer 40k? I think we can learn something from both. In WoT (fantasy book series) there's a bit where a single Aiel, completely unarmoured and unarmed, takes out 8 fully armoured, sword and shield wielding knights, without taking a scratch. And this is just a normal adult Aiel. This is a fantasy game, why shouldn't a champion with 40 attack and 40 defense be able to take out a squad of 10 units with 10 attack/defense?

I can't seem to start a siege on enemy cities... Ever. Is it bugged? If no, how do you start one?

Just played a game against 5 ridic AIs, on a medium/small map. I won by conquest at turn 170ish. All I did was focus on warfare, and bum rush the AI with well equipped troops. They were absolutely terrible at dealing with it (I took most cities with 2-4 guys).
Still a bug. We either need to change it in the description OR let them level up.
I'd say let them level up, since every time I'm playing Kingdom I'm probably just gonna raze them and rebuild em if they're in a good spot.

What I usually do is get up 3-4 cities running, spamming peons most of the time, building just enough to not die, while doing anything else I can (questing, etc etc). If I see a chance I'll go to war and crush an AI too (10 peons are suprisingly strong). If you need military might, and don't have that great a gold income, go for good equipment. Having 12 armour and 12 damage means a lot, when the enemy only has like 8 damage and 6 armour. Better to build extremely well equipped&nbsp
quoting post Some of the basic armour is bugged (costs 10 material and 10 gold or something silly like that). I wonder if this is bug. It is early and bad armor, but, it is low on tech tree, does not require metal. So if you have lots of material and gold, even 1 armor makes unit effectively 20% more robust in early game (for attack 5). So, I am not sure if this is intended or bug.
I'm pretty sure it's bugge

So, got the game at about noon. Finished playing at 11:30pm, won by Quest of Mastery. Lots of stuff to say. Anything that has already been fixed in day0 patch you devs can ignore. This is gonna be pretty rambly, so bear with me. Found resources to be a lot more scarce early. Was playing a large map, 9 normal AI, as Porcipene, Pariden. Only found 1 Arcane resource and 1 tech resource (which i didn't get till like turn 300). My starting spot any material resources starti

Shards increase their book by... Well normally spells do N damage. One shard = 2N, 2 shards 3N, 3 shards 4N etc etc.

I tried this kind of strat, focusing on adventure to the detriment of all else.... I find it's pretty ineffective in beta 4. I'd definately want to focus more army/civ early on, with maybe a few breakthrus in adventure so I can do better quests (level 3+ are pretty win). The main problem with it is that I simply didn't have enough research points to do it... I also fell behind military wise and economy wise, and I'm in a war now with Paradin, who has a MUCH stronger military then me (my 46hp,
Quoting Annatar11, reply 11 But the game isn't specifically designed to support it. But it is, since all the required resources needed for solo adventuring (gold, research, spell research) can be acquired without building a single city. Yeah, I'd say the design allows it but I don't think it encourages it. The balance as of Beta 4 would make that a hard path to follow. Depending on how the progression has been cha

I don't think you could... What you could definately do though, is focus a lot on the magic/adventure/warfare tech trees, have VERY few cities, and spend most of your effort buffing up your sovereign to make them as powerful as possible. I'm sure it's very possible to have some sovereign that can wipe out small armies by itself with enough effort.

Basically the title. Currently if you zoom really far in, then try to scroll the view with the mouse, it moves REALLY fast, while being really far zoomed out makes it REALLY REALLY slow. I find this to be pretty darn annoying, and would much prefer it to be 'constant' (i.e. scaled to zoom).

Rikaze, I'm going to be blunt. Your post screams to me "I play P and I'm bad at SC2. I'm gonna blame Blizzard instead of myself and avoid responsibility". There's plenty of Ps in top 10 platnium position. They have no problem getting and staying there, even tho according to you Protoss is being nerfed into to ground. Actually scratch that. I reread the paragraph and I'm not even sure what your point it. It's a terrible vague par
