SCII can be done co-op in multiplayer, complete with shared unit control.
Where at? I know that with SC2 you can share control of YOUR units, but as far as I know there is not a mode that allows for everyone to be controlling and building with the same team.

If banning actually prohibited them from using their hardware, that would be one thing. But in this case, it is only cutting them off from services Sony provides. If you don't plan on obeying their license agreement, you should be prepared to work without their help. If Sony went around snatching PS3s from people who voided their warranty, that I would have a problem with.
How much immediate impact does Stardock look for in its employees? Does it look for people that make an immediate impact, or does it look for people that will be great at x in two years?
Once upon a time, I played Starcraft with my friends co-op style. While much of that same experience can be had with current games, there was one feature that we enjoyed that I have not seen since. That idea was a shared-team experience, where multiple players all control the same units. While this could lead to arguing if you played with randoms, it was a lot of fun to allocate tasks to different team members. Is there any current game that offers a similar experien
Having the AI ally with each other a little more easily would be a plus.

I understand the desire to express ones discontent, even when you are mis-informed. Closing with profanity, however, is unnecessary and inexcusable. On a side note, can we get this thread closed?
I am happy about the lighting changes, I'd like there to be more contrast between settled and unsettled land - I should feel evil coming when I walk through unsettled lands. As a God fearing, freedom fry eating American, I'm in the #2 group, although it definitely has too strong of a yellow tint. I just played around with photoshop, and here are some more color options: <img src="http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/4905/autobalance.jpg" alt="Autobalanced color" width="325" he
Thanks for keeping up with this for us. :)
I feel like GPG lost its target heavy gamer audience when SupCom was mainstreamed, without picking up new users elsewhere. Their games also seem to lack the polish needed to support a competitive gaming community. That all having been said, SupCom 2 seemed to sell well on Steam, so I don't really think GPG is having issues financially. They might be having trouble finding a publisher, however. Sorian has commented on the GPG forums that they are still there, but no
This seems like a question of whether we want to focus on small-time or big-time projects. I feel like Python would be more inviting for dabblers, but C++ would be more beneficial to big time projects. I don't really feel like either language would be restrictive to someone who really wanted to have a go at modding, however.
They will improve multiplayer as more people come to use it. And people will use it once it has been improved. Therefore do not hold your breath for major multiplayer support.
I actually think that Stardock will focus on Elemental's multiplayer, even if it doesn't happen until one of the following expansions. I feel like Stardock wants to expand the game engine, and part of doing so will be making multiplayer work.
With Frogboy posting the Stardock roadmap (https://forums.elementalgame.com/404765), it reminded of that long forgotten project Society. For those of you that don't know, Society is a prototype RTS MMO game, where players fight and trade over provinces and resources to try to become the big boy on campus. Now that the Elemental game franchise is in full swing, I feel it is time we discuss what a free to play game like Society needs to be successful. While there are quit
- It would be pretty easy for the US Government to shut down the internet for the majority of people in the US. With legislation backed by huge fines and jail time, they can get US based ISPs shut down - just like Egypt did. It would take longer due to larger resistance from businesses, but it is definitely feasible. - We would work around it. We would use phones to dial out into foreign ISPs, and in the meantime we would see massive riots as twelve million WOW subsc

Sorry Frogboy, but you're wrong. We are hyper-entitled demandobots. And We Are Coming.
One of the problems of the Pro/Anti DRM argument is that there is no clear way to measure benefits of DRM. You can measure the cost of implementing DRM easily, either as the salaries of the guys that work on it or the licensing cost to the DRM developer. Measuring lost potential sales is impossible, as is the advertising effect of having an extra ten thousand copies of your game out there.
So I'm having some crash issues. Not too often, but often enough that restarting at the beginning of the level is getting very annoying. The last stand bit, though, is very fun - even in single player. No better way to blow off steam then to make it rain and then set up lightning walls. :)
I purchased Magicka today, and I am quite impressed with it so far. It is an action RPG title for $10, and the gameplay reminds me of Nox a lot. You control a wizard, and you mix spell elements on the fly to cast different spells. Experimentation is key, and then you also unlock certain more powerful spells via exploration. You swap ou
Actually, I'd just be happy if they could pick up Baulder's Gate 3.
Good thoughts Mystik, the AI has a huge advantage in that it can order every unit at once. I think you are minimalizing the strategy in the top level starcraft matches, however. While APM (or whatever the cool term is at the moment) is important to compete at a high level, it is a lot like an NFL quarter back - sure, you might have the talent, but if you don't know what to do with it, you're screwed. The reason I like RTSes is because they require quick thin

Great pick ups, congrats Stardock! I loved all of those games, especially NWN. I can't see myself playing through them again, but its great to know they are available digitally if the itch comes up.
I used deskscapes on my XP system for the effects. I personally find the starts/stops in the animation to be a bit annoying, but I don't know if it behaves the same way on 7/if it has been changed to fix this issue since. I would probably get more use out of Deskscapes if I could browse the cool effects people have made from within the program. Windows FX I haven't tried because it doesn't have a killer must have feature on it. I love the window snapping in Windows 7
