I initially posted this in the wrong thread! I think I have this problem solved now. I downloaded an app called Quick Shutdown which forces a shutdown of all apps. It won't let explorer hang. I set hot keys Ctrl+Shift+S for shutdown and Ctrl+Shift+R for restart. Works a treat!
Man I put that last post in the wrong thread. I am a dummy.
I think from what some of you are saying it seems the scrollbars flicker a fair bit at present across the windows platforms. Hope that futer upgrades resolve the issue?

Hi there, I'm running Windowblinds under win2K. I have noticed that with WB 4.1 or 4.2 (which are supposed to be 2K friendly) draging a window edge to resise that window cause the scrollbars to stutter while it is being dragged. If I run WB3.5 there is no stuttering and window resizing is smooth as silk. It's very annoying. Does anyone know what's up here? I like to have "show window contents while dragging" swithched on because, lets face it, you should be able to do that with modern v
OK. I guess I can come down now...
Sorry I'm confused. Are you saying that there is actually a possibility of getting some sort of skinning of the taskbar going in the lates version of WB? (I think that's what you're saying). Can you offer mor advice? For instance, what skins are currently available that support taskbar skinning for windows 2000. Very keen to know more. You guys may have solved a big problem for me.
HG_Eliminator, Hey, I don't want to come off seeming rude. No way. If you've discovered something about Windowblinds under 2K that I havn't seen then I want to know all about it. Is it possible for you to post or send me a screenshot? My email is ddeeperatyahoo.com.au (replace the "at" with @). I'd really love to see what you've got. Also what version of WB are you using?
There's no improvemnet for me in starting it manually. Every time I shut down the computer (W2K) Explorer hangs.
It can skin the task bar buttons but not the taskbar itself.
It's possible I suppose. It is quite an anoying bug actually. Messes up an otherwise tidy setup as far as I'm concerned.
I have this problem too, under Windows 2000 (though it sometimes happens in XP too). Surely someone else must have encountered this? Do the guys at Stardock know? In know for a fact that this did not happen in 1.x version.
I agree, in fact I wonder why anyone here would really care if printing under linux can be hard to set up sometimes. What's the relevance to Wincustomize?
The answer is quite simple. Windowblinds will not ever skin the taskbar in any OS but XP. It just does not do it. All those screenshots that show the taskbar skinned have been produced with XP. I bought Windowblinds when I was running Windows 2000 and was quite disapointed to find that it did not skin the taskbar. They don't really make that clear on the Stardock pages. I have persisted with the program, however, as it _is_ quality software.
