On Win2k I find that uis1 skins aren't drawing properly. A window without focus gets the titlebar moved upwards by one pixel as compared to the window with focus (pic below), particularly if you roll the mouse cursor over it. You can actually see it jump up by one pixel. Both titlebars should appear identical. The skin is converted from uis2 with the tool in SStudio.<

To get around this taskbar height problem I always open the offending skin in SS and set the title bar height to 23. The title bar dispays as designed but the taskbar then stays at the right height. As far as Operating Systems go, XPsp2 and 2Ksp3 and sp4 don't have this problem. However, if you have Office installed on those machines you'll be in strife if you don't patch. If you have XP and XPsp1 you'll be in trouble (if the exploit hits the web with any force) even without Office.

Hi there, I've been trying load my old copy of Windowblinds 3.5 (Enhanced version - and paid for) as I find it works better for me on my W2K setup than the newer versions. Trouble is I can't seem to make it work any more. It installs OK, but attempting to load a skin just results in the skin's colour scheme being applied and nothing else. I've done a few experiments on fresh installs of 2k on two different machines and with varying 4.4 and 4.5 drivers for my Radeon 9600 pro vid

I should have said that I'm running it on 2k and don't use the animations/transition effects. I'm using it for shadows only. Its all very smooth and Like the shadow under the taskbar (I have it at the top of the screen), though I have to click on the taskbar sometimes to make it show.
Is anyone else running the latest beta? It seems to be really good. They've added a shadow to the taskbar and memory usage is down to about 1200K. Very impressed.
Re toolbar bitmaps You can take the bitmaps from browseui.dll and replace the ones in the XP brouwseui (they are pngs in XP but it doesn't matter) . This does work. I have done it.

Now I definitely have the correct solution to this problem. Start - Run - Regedit Navigate to the following Registry key: HKEY CURRENT USER\Control Panel\Desktop Double click on the AutoEndTasks entry and replace the 0 with a 1 in the Value data text box I've done this and no more problem.
