1.9Gb download after verification... Not the end of the world but can we have this fixed please? If you want us to provide some sort of debug log to help fix this tell us how we can help [e digicons][/e]
CBM does decrease micro in that they remove the gem generating magic items, Fever Fetishes being the important one for micro-management. Overall the CBM mod makes the game better, it increases the amount of viable strategies in multiplayer, but the latest release (1.7) is stirring up some discussion.
The new Wheel of Time books are good but not the same. Yes R.Jordan let the middle books of the series develop "a new character is introduced on every second page" syndrome, but there was something to the rambling that was nice. With the latest book its like the new author of the series (because R.Jordan passed away) is drinking too much coffee in comparison. Nothing against the new authors style, its just for the Wheel of Time I like the rambling style. I can see that
Do you still get one free expansion if you buy now or has that expired? Elemental has development support (hiring Kael and others strongly suggests commitment) and the development is quite open to the purchaser (via these forums). I own both games (got into the Elemental beta and purchased Civ V almost on day 1) and I know which of the two I will be playing in time to come. Having two free expansions for Elemental helps [e digicons]k1[/e]
Ok I have joined with game on port 6609 (era 2 game vsAI_grimly on port 6609 with easy AIs Machaka, Marignon, Atlantis). Read the How to Join a Game page, create a pretender (remember to make a password and have all mods turned off, its vanilla only) and away we go! Note that it will be us two vs the three AI's but they are easy AI's so we shall kic
Broheimicus, you seem to need some fresh air, a change of pace..... Maybe you should... Take this opportunity to... Run to the hills..

If you want Mauxe I'd join you in an "us vs the AI" game: http://game.dom3minions.com/bin/vsAI_chk.cgi
Just so you know, his name is Jon, not John.
I paid for the game so I'll call him whatever I like! *joke* Go Jon!
I asked John to get an avatar and he did . I did not ask John for the life-vest, he did that himself. John responds to the masses. Vote 1 John for President. No actually demote Brad to postcard reader and make John the CEO of Stardock
Personally I think John will take the game in a direction that will make Elemental... Immortal!
This is on the Playstation? I have no idea about this one.
What game you getting into? Post a link to the game :)
I'm really Michael Cook :)
I love it all the same. But seriously, can't wait to hear from the real JS ("Would the real John Shafer please stand up?") However I honestly think he will be inundated by posts asking "What happened with Civ V and between you and Firaxis?". That will be dull. Like this post said, forget 2010, bring in 2011!
To all those who doubt what magic can be created on this earth Let me bring peace to your.... Pagan Fears
Rock on! Bring on the mayhem!
 Who the heck signed in as John Shafer? Priceless. If it is the real Shafer, get an avatar dude [e digicons][/e]
Check this out: http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=32314&page=1 A Dom 3 map with 1200+ provinces! Try playing that as LA Ermor!
Provinces with elephants in I tend to avoid until I have a good strategy to deal with them. A size 6 Super Combatant pretender will kick them to the curb no worries. If your still playing heres a tip to rebuild an army, spend some of that massive fire gem income Abysia by researching Conjuration 2 and doing a mass casting of Fire Drakes. Set them up in small groups so that in combat they will be just behind the infantry. The tough as nails infantry hold the line while t
Make sure you go to the official forums (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=138) and check out the strategy guides, but don't read too deeply, play the game some and learn how it runs. A good first nation to try vs the AI is early era Abysia. Don't worry about the blood magic at all, as a beginner its better to learn the other aspects of how the game plays before doing the Blood Economy thing. You have 100% fire resistant troops and mages capable of spamm
I have not played the demo so don't know what nations are in it to play, which nation and era did you choose? If you want to rush in the early game choose whats termed as a "Super Combatant" (SC) pretender. The Cyclops is a great example, especially if you give it more earth magic, no independent will stand in your way. Its base 20 protection, plus 1 for every level in earth magic means most indies don't have the hitting
