I know this has been an ongoing issue and i have seen a thread on it every now and again but with the settings reset i noticed it again and wanted to bring it up. what is occurring is that whenever i turn on the advanced lighting checkbox in options my sov and troop character windows have a haze that causes them to look distorted. this only occurs in these windows and the other parts of the game display fine. i have an Nvidia geforce 8800 gt. in the past when i first n

quote from frogboy So new date is sometime next week. Since that will push back our internal schedule, we’re going to let new people into beta 1Z next week so that they’re not stuck waiting. from this post https://forums.elementalgame.com/379290

you could be right fenrus, normally they wouldnt release a build on fridays in case it would explode and they would have to fix it. so perhaps the party will start today for everyone.

i was under the impression that the people that are in the first beta would get the update today and the new users would be given access tomorrow (friday in the US)

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 While I do like the ideas of using simultaneous turns or a turn bank system (which I think would add a cool level to the game) I had thought of another alternative. Not sure if this

(Talent) Suave - more children, increase morale (Talent) Space Ponies - self explanatory (Talent) quick witted - improved initiative There could be several environment specific talents that denote an aptitude to that terrain. I.e. desert survival, mountain survival, forest survival. The bonuses could be just a simple + for combat and movement in that terrain or could be expanded to allow special food gathering or planting for those tiles. I
At any rate, I don't expect any type of genetics program to be in this game, I would just like one. i ahve about 5 games worth of ideas I would love to see in this game, but honestly if they all went in the game would probably be unplayable.
denryu may have said it best. i would love to play a game that has genetics and bloodlines but in the end may only muddle the spirit of elemental.

well i would argue that a civilization wouldnt need to know genetics to in order to apply an intelligent eugenics breeding program to their lives. look at the breeding of animals, specifically dogs, they have been breed for thousands of years to accentuate specific traits. while your environment does play a huge role in a persons life there are many traits beyond esthetics that could be transfered into the lineage, good and bad. now as for humans, perhaps it would be a stretch

A few ideas that I think would enrich the dynasty system. Genetics I would like to propose a system be implemented into the game that would take genetics into account. That is, when you as a sovereign have offspring they will inherit certain traits from you (good and bad). Perhaps your character is a naturally hardy albino that is an alcoholic. Some or all of these traits could be passed to your children. This may make you (and by extension your d

i like everything about this idea. it would add a lot to the depth of the game. i also read another post akin to this one about being able to build cities on adverse terrain, mountain towns, tree villages, ect. as the original post says this would give the specialist in these areas an advantage and that would include technologies that were developed and work in a given environment.

I would like to see an “additional information” system akin to the one used in Heroes of Might and Magic III. In that game you could right click on most anything and get more info on it in the form of a new window that stayed up as long as you held the right mouse button down. Even if the item you right clicked on wasn’t anything special it would tell you exactly what it was, such as a rock or tree. This helped to clarify anything you were unsure of through the graphical cue
