My guess is they may have done this to erase the old beta files and force users to have a clean install of the gold files.

Beta is over, access is turned off until the early gold download on sunday night or monday.

thanks annatar as always you are a gentleman and a scholar. i am going to buy it but wanted to wait for all the expansions to come out so i could get them bundled and at a cheaper price but a year apart would be a long time to wait.

The next (4th) beta is scheduled for a Thursday the 29th (American) release

I find the cloth map much easier to use too but love the look of the 3d art style. maybe a setting to allow icon overlay on the 3d map or some other way to make the goodies stand out. maybe a key to toggle between the icons/identifiers to allow you to highlight them if needed.

also impulse has non-game software as well that would add revenue that this survey probably wouldnt cover

It may be a good idea to judge the game by the final product instead of the beta before you give up but maybe it isnt the type of game you would like.

each city has an area of effect that is generated by your influence rating. if the resource in in your area of influence then it is yours.

just reinstall impulse and you should be able to redownload

well if you haven't tried it (some people aren't aware) you must set impulse to show pre-release versions under the blue menu in the upper left corner.

I seem to remember frogboy talking about how The Lord of the Rings is a big influence on the lore.

I am looking for an alternative to using the adobe reader. I have looked around a little for something to take its place and still function well but haven’t found anything that I feel does the job. Ideally the program would have these qualities. - Small footprint - an app as small as I can find that will open PDF files. - Browser integration - currently I am using the adobe reader and open all PDF files (online and offline) with Firefox. - F-word

I love the lore of the game and the artwork but in the end this is a game. Keep the lore in the books and give me more options to customize and play the game i want to play.
