This seems to happen for all placed hut-like buildings.

OnLive requires a FAST internet connection, lags like crazy, and has worse resolution and quality than any at all reasonably powerful computer.
I got a nice starting dress for my sovereign, but it disappeared when I outfitted greaves on her. I was annoyed, to say the least.
So I completed the mission that gives you the flute. It was supposed to be sold at a city for money. Anyway, I double-clicked on it to see if I could outfit it somehow, and it made the slurping sound and disappeared! [e digicons]:P[/e] Clearly my sovereign will have indigestion...

Yeah, I was getting some zoom in/out lag, and I have a GTX 260.

It'd do great as an ingame track, though.[/quote] Good point. I do like the old track though. It had better appear in the full game somewhere. Oh, and the longer the soundtrack, the better. I never listen to my own music while playing games, to give myself that "authentic" feel. So

It just takes me 2 minutes to load on my gaming PC. I'm guessing it's an internet thing. Have you tried waiting?
Chain mail should have an advantage over plate in that it's lighter, therefore allowing more mobility/agility/speed. Remember Frodo's Mithril mail? It was so light because it was chain mail, allowing more speed, yet it was of superior material than typical plate mail. An extreme example, but you would never give an archer more than chain mail, for example, to allow them to use their bows. Not true in this game. Oh, and no female armor yet, it appears. Chain mail bikinis
Fully agree. When it's inside the enemy territory, with the current state of the AI, I've been known to declare war just to complete the quest.

Great discussion so far. Looks like Frogboy is actively reducing the busywork and increasing the strategy. I'll wait for the next version to see how much things have actually changed though.
I just hope it arrives before I go off to college.
I couldn't get more that 5 cities without an out of memory error. That or alt-tabbing. I'm browsing the forums a TON now, but I'm not gonna play the game again until another patch.
I'm starting to agree that there's too much busywork and not enough complication. Good stuff so far.
In Neverwinter Nights they were called feats. Could be interesting; not sure about it yet.
So I'm a little disturbed at how the cities are going right now. It seems we have two distinct camps, And I thought we could consolidate the discussion on the level of complication of the city-building element (no pun intended) of this game. On the one hand we have: Complicate it still further Frogboy seems heavily in this camp, and seems to have asked us how to do this. For example, Frogboy has asked us to think up additional building that can
Many others agree with you on the tediousness of city building, including me. Particularly all of the food buildings. I agree the world is cheerful, but remember, it's been a while since the cataclysm, as Thiryn mentioned.
Yep. An annoying bug. Originally reported in this thread. https://forums.elementalgame.com/384051

1) Same here. I have to zoom out and then back in to move overland. 2) Just left-click on them and you interact. Remember, in a game, a right-click is always taking an action. left-click is simply finding out information or using a menu.
