This may not be a bug. In many ways, low-level heroes are better because you can shape them as you want. High-level ones at the start are how they are, like it or not. If I choose a level 1, I can even choose its class. That's a real advantage, depending on what I am looking for at the time.

If you want a one-time fame boost, simply make the fame be lost when the building is destroyed! Just like grain improvements.

I have to thank you for this as well. I bought the WOM SE. While it was a definite disappointment, Stardock has more than regained my confidence in their products. I'll be buying Stardock games for decades to come. My job is in marketing, and I can't really say I'm loyal to more than 3 brands in existence. Stardock is one of them.

I had this happen as well. If I order you out, GET out and STAY out! If you don't like it, declare war. But don't keep trying for 20 turns until I forget to order you out or don't notice. I prefer for this to be like Civ, where you can't enter a civ's territory at all without open borders, else war is declared.

PC gaming won't die until there's no need for a separate device called a PC - your phone (or should I say glasses? or brain implant?) will do everything for you in one device. Once technology is small enough, there's no need for these huge devices such as laptops and desktops - you'll be able to have the same exact functionality is something minuscule. People continue to say the PC gaming market is dying. That's not true. However, is i

The AI needs to have a few more scenarios it can adapt to. I also agree with other posters below that the AI needs to evaluate which units to attack based on more advanced characteristics. I really like FE. I really do. But I continually discover that there's no beating this simple army composition: 1-2 "tank" units that soak up damage, + masses of high-damage, defenseless ranged units. The AI can't deal with this, and it doesn't know to use this tactic either. What you need is all units to have high initiative so they can move first. Have your tanks move toward the enemy, to draw aggro and stop them from getting back and attacking your r

I think the problem is indeed a fundamental issue with the AI. If you think about it, when do masses of units actually work? Only when your opponent basically has no units at all. One heavily-armored unit with a decent weapon can bead hordes of level 1 units. And even with all of the AI improvements, the AI still can't recognize this simple fact. In this game, superior tech always wins. The AI should focus on producing fewer, more advanced units.
