I really think we should all be thankful for the "bomb" of a game that was War of Magic...if it wasn't for that game we would not have the glorious Fallen Enchantress!
No, they still would have made Fallen Enchantress, everyone would just be paying for it instead of getting it for free.

Capturing a level 9-10 monster is about a 50% chance of failure with the collar, and there is usually only 1 or 2 of those monsters on the map, so you really have to look around for the beefy monster after you find the collar. Sometimes you get lucky, and admittedly this is a fantastic early game boost if you don't screw up. Otherwise your sovereign probably just got killed by that level 10 monster you were hunting.

I've seen a number of bugs, some of them more frustrating then others, and I've posted on most of the stuff I've encountered. I agree as it seems most do that the system could use some refinement in a number of areas. However, there is limited time and money at play just like in most games. However, it seems to me like Stardock spent their time and money to provide amazing tools and potential for others to build this refinement and more; others who are chomping at the

I've had this happen tons of times. It seems to particularly happen in more advanced games. You can really experience the bug well by purchasing lots of quest scrolls. Some of them work, some don't; however this issue is not limited to quests generated by the quest scroll.

It seems like occasionally master scout breaks, and if you have a large empire and you haven't dealt with the monsters, all of a sudden you will have 3-4 attacks on cities and units in the same turn. Might be related to re-loading, not sure.

The tooltip for the "Obsession" spell claims it is modified by possessed death shards, this is incorrect, it is modified by a cities essence. The spell description in the Hiergamenon is correct, it is only hovering over the ability having clicked on the unit itself that shows the incorrect description. Both Endis Steelhand and Kallus Hairto have the spell (one for each faction), and both incorrectly show that the spell is influenced by death shards.

I often use my familiar with cloud walk to move a second army. For example, my sovereign will be clearing out a wildlands area with an army, meanwhile my cities are cranking out some pioneers. Once the wildlands are clear, erect an arcane monolith, then port the pioneers into the new fertile ground. Granted, that's 130 mana just spent in one go, but by the time I clear out an entire wildlands area that's usually not too unreasonable. Coupled wi

I think it's silly to get into an argument over the semantics of "modern". If you want to have a discussion, discuss what is important: features and qualities. Quibbling over the definition of a word that is at best secondary to the argument is, as was shown, a waste of time.

Guys, when he says "boats" I'm pretty sure he means the water-based city improvements like Piers, Docks, Harbor and Watermills. These improvements can be built in a city next to a beach tile, but not one placed next to a cliff tile. Although I could be mistaken.

I agree, it is almost never better, regardless of play style for the familiar to be up front. You have to be very careful to keep it alive. If the sovereign dies... No big deal as long as you win the battle, you only missed out on XP, and the familiar can take your place as a caster. The noblewoman is a bigger issue, and one I run into a LOT. That's why I try and pump my party's initiative up, so I can get someone in front of her in the first turn.

Update: My characters had their movement broken again once they re-joined the army, not sure what the deal is.

I found a work-around for this in my game. By de-partying my attackers and having them each fight a solo-battle they were fixed, and then I could have them re-party.

This is a bug I've experienced before, but it has persisted through this latest update: Sometimes my sovereign will lose the ability to move in the first round of combat unless I right-click on an enemy to trigger a move and attack. This time both of my main attackers are affected, my sovereign and my collared Umberdroth. What is particularly frustrating is that my sovereign has sweep which he cannot use until the second round of combat, when it might have saved me damag

It's hard to word it right. It's more "except members of a faction other then monsters and ruffians". So... A wildling belong to the "Denizens of the Wildlands faction, or a wildling belonging to Magnar's faction could both attack, but a wildling belonging to "Monsters and Ruffians" could not. I think what is confusing is not really the wording, as you probably naturally assumed that a wildling belonging to Magnar could attack you, it's more the realization t

This also has happened to me multiple times, I associated it with the pre-battle casting of fear because that is when it happened the most. However there have been several battle where no one cast anything at the start of battle, and the first move of my first hero did not have access to the action bar. Annoying as it wastes an action, but it usually starts happening later in the game when I'm more powerful and can win easily anyway.
