yes, and das, i got into the beta a few months ago after watching your let's plays for Fallen Enchantress. good stuff.

I never played the Civ games and never heard of most of the other fantasy games people talk about here. I've mostly played RTS's and console shooters. I was just never a turn-based guy. But I wanted to play a fantasy strategy game newer than Battle for Middle Earth 2 and Fallen Enchantress was all i could find. now i'm addicted to it so I think that says something (although, I also have to give credit to Sins for easing me into the 4x-ish genre with its hyb
looking forward to release. I play this game a lot; it's tons of fun and I hope a lot of other people discover this gem as well. also, I like the faction trait changes. splitting some of them up will let us create more unique factions.
weird. i hadn't used them against an ai opponent, but they were great for taking out stacks of shrills and the air elemental around a sanctum, all listed as "Strong" while my wildling hordes were listed as "weak"; perhaps that's why it seems odd to me. in tactical combat they seem less effective.
I'm tearing up some shrills and elementals and even darkling shamans with hordes of wildlings (6 per stack) i recruited. atuo-resolving is a win against almost anything with minimal losses. I actually ended up disbanding most of them and razing one of the villages to keep it from being too easy. playing on normal world difficulty and challenging AI
it would be nice if you could turn off the production of mercenary and allied units and then turn it on again when you need them. maybe get different resource bonuses when they're turned off, like they're semi-autonomous settlements that pay tribute.
When I fight widow spiders, they tend to use beguile on my ranged units but my archers and mages always hit their intended target (never their allies). if beguile isn't supposed to work on ranged units, then the AI shouldn't use them on ranged units, unless it's one of the mistakes the AI should make (I play on challenging).
such a hard choice. I guess I play as altar the most for faster experience and henchmen. On the empire side, I like Ceresa and her armies of shard demons.

i was wondering if that might be the case. thanks.
when refined economics research completes, its available to be researched again. doesn't appear to be working.
you'd have to factor in loosing volleys into masses of enemy troops. If they're bunched up, you don't have to take much time to aim.
When we can't recruit them, what if we could put them on display in a cage and lower the unrest of a city by a lot?
i just might give that a whirl.
i hope we get that feature but for now, if it helps, think of the archers arcing their arrows over the obstacles.
exactly. people who train to fight will sometimes just react as they've practiced, especially if their adrenaline is way up and they're already in fight mode.
Quoting Derek Paxton, reply 18Az'aroth switched form Path of the Mage to Path of the Warrior (don't know what was going on there) He is still weak, though, cancelling out his trog blood. Probably shouldn't be weak, but please do keep the evoker trait; a trog warrior with death2/fire2+evoker is exactly the kind of unique champion that is interesting to play.
maybe an old, yet debilitating injury. </
xp / xp needed for next level ?
Bears can stand up. Some can even do the MC Hammer shuffle
t'would be convenient.
yeah, Sins has this too and is wonderfully convenient.
Kitty is very, very powerful early game. I will complete the quest for the XP but probably will only use her at Challenging or above (where I've been having more difficulty these last few patches). My only concern is, newer players may have different experiences in different games whether or not they get her or not. Thoughts?
Irane's "Hunter" profession appears to give her +50% vs cutting, pierce, and blunt attacks. It also shows this way for her in-game and when creating a new sov with the hunter profession. But the tooltip on the trait selection box says +50% attack vs beasts. <img src="http://s1078.beta.photobucket.com/user/stein559/media/hunter-12_zpse9c4326b
