Wait a second..... [e digicons]o_O[/e] That kingdom tech tree has a Warg Riding tech! Does this mean both races get all mounts? I hope so. Quick question: Do rivers and special tiles like horses give resource bonuses, they don't appear to display any food or production icons. If they don't wouldn't it be bad to start beside them?

Yeah I'm so bored. Maybe I should be studying... [e digicons]:hugme:[/e]

Ya they may have changed the name of the assets or the tags structure. The maps are a little different now, they have obstacles and caves. If nothing else they have obviously added more assets.
I'm happy that we have obstacles and atmospheric maps if the combat system is deep enough otherwise.
Ya even getting maps with some impassable tiles, and that actually reflect where your fighting, is a big move forward. I'm pretty confident combat will be fairly fun from the journals I have seen so far. In a perfect world their would be more dynamic tiles such as mud and hills but I am happy with what we have. Since
More of a question then a wish but will we be able to import our custom tiles from WoM to FE?
I love how blatantly bias and untruthful media is by labeling violent groups "rightwing", big on small government where they? Communists are as far left as you can get and they were rabidly anti-semantic. Fascists actually believe in strong central government and strong controls on the market, which actually makes them very "left-wing", but the media finds that truth a little inconvenient. If you don't believe it then look it up. That said my heart goes out to your co
I doubt the spell system has been done yet, as it was worded in that thread there was a high uncertainty if it would be in the game.
Not what I heard.
We intend for there to be spells with a casting time that can then be countered. This is almost certain to make it in but we have not made it a “Requirement”. It’ll be based on how “fun” they play out.
I kinda assumed that the magic system was done because the beta would have been out if they hadn't delayed it in order to balance the game.
Yep when a city levels in FE a random list of special buildings is provided and the player gets to build one. Each building is in effect a perk and provides the town with some sort of bonus. From release they have said that you can easily mod in more special buildings.
Maybe look into some of the mods for Sins.
Yeah for diverse mounts!!!
Really? I would like more hills. Now its either completely flat or a huge mountain, which looks very unnatural. Also the tiles with dead trees look terrible and feel like WoM leftovers...
Hard to say really but I guess I would prefer hills spawning by mountains more frequently then normal but far from always. Ya those dead trees are kind overkill, especially when compared to living t
A very impressive video. The world of Elemental seems to be coming alive!

I would give you karma but then I took an arrow to the knee.
Your banned because life is empty and meaningless. Deal with it!
I'm not usually one to request stuff from developers, but since the Beta was delayed could we get a new journal on the updated magic system please? I'm dying to know about the new spells and counter system. I understand that you don't want to advertise too much, but since several sites have already claimed that you have already released a full spell list you might want to correct them anyway.
One thing I will also say publicly is that it is our intent to someday go back and do a War of Magic 2.0 to give out to people who bought WOM. I don't know how many people reading this from the earliest of days can remember this but the original design for WOM was pretty sublime. In many respects, it's like Society except with Society we realized we'd have to step back and wait until we had the capability to make that game.
And if you want to nitpick, Stardock calls it a separate game set in the same world. So that the only relation is supposedly that it shares the lore. In reality of course it's more of a sequel.
It shares the lore and graphic assets.
I really don't like the idea some ppl have for Civ5 like autoboats for this game. It works well in Civ after they implemented One Unit per Tile, but in a game with armies (many units collectet in one tile doing their own tactical battles) I would not like it. If Frog can make the AI understand how to enter and use transports, why do it in another manner?
The fact is that from an AI point of view it would be much easier to
Ya the plot of the Eragon books was awesome and original! Oh no wait it was bland and as unoriginal as dirt. It only got published because the guy who wrote it's parents are publishers. Not that it was bad or anything, but it was pretty standard and horribly cliche so probably would have never got published without his connections. I mean seriously dragon riders, hot elves, an evil tyrant, and a friendly wizard guide who dies in the first book so the young impressionable youth can go on t
Exactly. They were cumbersome and made the game crash too much. There was no hope of salvaging it.
Umm I don't think that was the reason.... I'm pretty sure it was because the AI couldn't use them, and getting them to work would have taken alot of work.
I must be a dick, and we all know I am, because after I read that from Frogboy, I thought "It god damn better be, or expect another flop".
I have no doubt the balance is much better in FE already then in WoM. Firstly, the balance in WoM was basically none existent. You guys just never had the time to get to it. Secondly, I have seen that Derek has comprehensive spreadsheets on all unit and equipment stats, something I strongly sus
You could maybe use a special type of caravan. It would set up a trade-route that takes X food per turn from the city it was built in to the city it travels to. I like the idea of moving food but it may not work well in FE. The only scenario I can think of where it would be worth it is if you build a city with lots of food but no other nearby resources, and even then I'm not sure how much cities would require external resources to be useful. You would think you could just transfor
