Maybe we will in beta 2 (the networking beta where things like friends and such I imagine might be introduced) but I'm pretty sure until then they are just going to join every game that is created.
there will be sever based in the final brad says so
This is exactly the backstabbing I don’t want to see. When you are having Friendly/Peaceful/Neutral status with player B, you can declare your “Conflict” by attacking B’s unit or the Diplomatic screen, anytime you want. This will give player B, 5 to 10 turns to prevent his towns from being captured. Whether 5-10 turn is enough or too long is debatable or subject to play testing, but it
The real confusion comes in the details. For example, imagine if two units of swordsmen are standing beside each other. You order your unit to attack, the other player orders his soldiers to move back 10 feet. What then happens when the turn "starts"? Will the first unit follow the other or will it sit and attack thin air? If you implement CTB strict to its definition then this is what will happen. Imagine combat in MoM except both sides each g

while wiiplayer does this i simply steal the box with The Hill and being in a quantum state of flux between mortal/imortal easily open it. I then head back to my fortress with its new asteroid armour decor clean out the mess that was left in it and turn it into a floating fortress using the power of The Hill. I then employ an army of ninja wizards and fighting bears to protect me. I then do some redecorating making the fortress portal proof and instantly a normality emmiter which cause any In

so the two sliders you are suggesting is: fear/love and chivalry/knavery then? or are you guys referring to renown/fame instead? because to be honest, i feel that maybe Elemental could do with all three

I'd certainly be double-ticked if Those Despicable Folks undid all my hard work in freeing some locals from their oppression and salted the wound by tearing down our fine monument. If I were playing on the Fallen side and something like that happened, I'd want the next monument built from their foolish bones.
[quote who="keithLamothe" reply=
I'd be a bit more interested in being able to build monuments in my population centers and put place names on the main map to reflect something like the victory of one grand army over another. But then I don't have any idea how complex a true city could be in the game--if they are indeed much more interesting than colonies in GC2, it could be great fun and/or an interesting strategic choice to be able to spend money throwing a party after a milit

I know this is a bit of necroing but ... no sense in wasting a good thread What about the ability to cast some sort of spell that as you are dying, puts your essence/spirit/will into the enemy killing you (not an enemy channeler for balance) and turns them into you slowly. While the process is ongoing, you would be weakened as you attempt to overpower the host.

A random thought I had but wouldn't it be awesome to see stuff in elemental along the same epic vein as the magic in Sword Of Truth such as the spell towers that blocked off the old world from the new and stuff.
