I would guess that the problem you are seeing is the mount animation problem. Are these mounted archers by any chance? This issue, which stopped me from using mounts altogether, is a completion animation after an attack with a mounted unit that takes quite a while. Nothing works until the completion animation finishes. I believe that this has already been fixed for 1.1.

Very cool. So this quest should work in 1.1. Any thoughts if there is a workaround for my current game? If not, I'll just write it off. (Edit. Don't have a saved game from early enough.)
I read in another thread that the problem arises if you save the game while on your way to return the dragons egg. In this case, someone posted that the dragon joining message appears, but the dragon never joins you. I definitely did save on my way to the dragon, and this sounds like the problem I am seeing.
So I'm at the point where I've collected the Dragons egg, and it's in my sov's inventory. When I return to the yellow spot where the dragon is, I get the message about her joining me, but nothing happens. I have a save game at this point, but I don't know if anyone has figgured out what's wrong with the trigger. (I.e. do I need to go in with a different hero, fewer characters, less stuff in my inventory, whatever.) If posting this save would be helpful
I believe that this is a bug in the Multiplayer/Beta version. If you switch back to the release/single player version, it's working better. The way to switch, as far as I know, is to uninstall the beta version, uncheck the option in impulse that says you can see beta/prerelease versions, and install again.
If you've downloaded the beta (Multiplayer version,) the archers are broken, I believe. I had to uncheck beta downloads and uninstall and reinstall to get the latest single player version, where archers are ok. (Other things seemed to be working better as well. I believe it was the 'friday flash patch' that helped.
Just wanted to post that I have been playing a couple of games of elemental with version 1.0.8, and really enjoying the game. I've been a beta tester forever, but I have to say that if I had bought the game as it is now without having been through the beta cycle, I would not have been disappointed. I feel like the pacing and gameplay is really coming together. One of the things I like about 1.0.8 is that things have slowed down a bit, and it takes a while for your empire t
You have to land someone from off the ship on the coast near the shard, so load someone on the ship and sail them a long way around the coast. Once you do this, the someone who landed will open the gate from the other side, and let the land troops through.
Krandir is hard to find because it doesn't show on the cloth map. At this point, cause I was traveling distances, I was using the cloth map, so finding krandir gave me fits as well. Just zoom in near where the first set of footprints are, and you should see it.
I'm using XP.
Still there in beta 4.
http://screencast.com/t/ZDE2Y2U1MjQt A picture is worth a thousand words.
I used to get this on many different screens, but now it seems to be down to one. On the save game screen, the text from the under lying windows bleeds through, and obscures the text on the save game dialog. The affect looks like the dialog is partially transparent. I have a screen shot, but I'm not sure how to post it.
I am seeing this as well. In my case, what happens is that I lose the fight, it reports that I got the armor, even though I lost, and then the CTD immediately there after.
A paper doll system is really something that should be added. Right now items don't really feel very valuable, equiping them on your units will make them feel more special, and give the player a much more immersive feel. It will make the player feel more in control of, and attached to their units.
What's valuable in the world of elemental? Shards. What if the currency is actually bits or chips of magical shards? In this case, the names bits or chips would be possible, or something to do with shards, like an earlier poster suggested. It also brings up the possibility of alchemy being useful, as a certain amount of money can directly be converted into magical power.
I will probably never play multiplayer. As I think someone else has mentioned on this thread, some very large percentage of the buyers of this kind of game will fall into this category. (I think it's more then 70%.) What is surprising to me is that most of the posters here are also saying the same thing, as I would think that the posters on the forum would be biased in the direction of being more likely to be multiplayers.
I also don't seem to be able to load a saved game at all in the latest build.
Turning off advanced lighting did fix the problem for me.[e digicons]|-)[/e]
Here's a screen shot of one example, although I have seen this in quite a few other places.
I haven't reported this before now, because I thought it was so obvious that there was no way it wasn't going to be fixed in the next release. With each release I kept thinking that, but maybe it's not happening on other machines then mine. What's happening is that the background text from whatever screen is up is showing through the window of the various dialog boxes, so that the text from the back ground screen and the dialog overlap. I will try to go back in game,
My screens look a lot like the one mazuo posted. On my machine the pictures of the sovereign and other pictures (basically each character portrait) are painfully fuzzy. I don't think that my vidio card is that under powered. (ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT) Maybe I have one of the graphics settings set wrong?
The edge scroll is mostly working in this version, but it's broken when you try to scroll down. This makes it quite hard to use as your primary means of moving around, which is how I was trying to use it. More detail: When you edge scroll right, left or up, it seems to work fine, but when you edge scroll down, it seems to work intermittently. I think what is happening is that the user interface features on the bottom edge of the screen are having a negative interaction
The Edge Scrolling is not working fully. It works fine when I try to scroll the top, right, or left edges, but when I try to scroll down, the behavior is intermittent, and frustrating. It feels like works randomly about half the time, which makes the whole process of edge scrolling feel broken. What I think is happening is that the user interface elements on the bottom of the screen are interfering with the app detecting when the user tries to edge scroll down.
