I vote for this myself, injuries as they stand are laughably minor. I like the idea of a range of seriousness, and the idea of retiring heroes to manage cities. Shouldn't gangrened hand make the hero one-handed? This would make it the worst, but the character would be an individual.

Still don't see this on the .76 fix list. Just ran into this again this morning. It's easy to reproduce, (I believe,) and really feels broken, so I would thiink of it as an important fix for .76.
Just looked through the .76 change log, and didn't see the biggest bug I ran into this weekend. When I have a Champion mounted on a horse with a shield, clicking on the defend button takes about 20-30 seconds before it responds. I noticed delays with unmounted units as well, but nothing like as long.
I think this one is reproducible. I just opened up the autosave, and played a bit, and got what I think is the same crash. (Happened when I clicked end turn after a tactical battle.) Let me know if a save game and a step by step description would be helpful.
Got a crash. I think I had just finished a tactical battle: debug.err: http://pastebin.com/n9VWucQw zip file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16544811/FallenEnchantress0_75-2012-01-21T08-28-28-254.zip Hope this helps. -SteveL
Got my first game interfering bug, followed by an (unrelated?) crash. I will figure out how to post the crash seperately, but the bug was as follows; As soon as I equipt my champions with horses, then started failing to end turn correctly. The exact sequence was as follows; Move the champion toward the enemy, without getting close enough to attack. Press the shield button (All three of the champions in this group have both shields and horses.)</
There are lots of posts like this, but I have to make mine anyway. Played several hours last night, and I didn't want to go to bed. I didn't get one crash, and I really enjoyed the game. (It feels like a game to me, not just a first beta.) I think this really has that one more turn thing going on. I didn't really see anything that I can confirm as a bug, although I can see balance issues, I guess. I think that people are right about champio
I really feel that fixing some of these bugs will get you more bang for the buck in terms of making people feel like 1.4 is better then anything else you can do. By the way, thanks for listening!
Goodie huts are the things that don't show up on the cloth map that appear on the zoomed in map. I often have the experience of stepping on a seemingly empty space on the cloth map, and getting the message that I've just stepped on a goodie hut. More distracting is to zoom in after moving a unit a ways, and see that they walked by one or more goodie huts, because they weren't visible on the cloth map. (this one has been hard to report, because, I believe, that
Here's the text of my previous post, which was posted a while ago in support: Played a game of WOM this weekend. Many things feel a lot better. At this point, I feel that some attention needs to be paid to fixing some important bugs that make the game feel still broken. Three things that really broke the immersion for me were the following: 1) The bug when building new units
Frogboy, I know I'm just a lowly user, but if I could offer a suggestion, what 1.4 needs more then anything else is just a couple of bug fixes. There are several bugs that each are not necessarily that terrible, but together they make the game feel broken. I posted a list earlier of three that I thought were critical. I really feel that this is more important to making 1.4 work well then changing how the tactical AI works.

I know I've seen this reported else
Speaking from a make the game interesting point of view, I quite like the idea of specializing in different elements. For example, as in a previous post, you've been researching fire magic, have a couple of heroes who specialize and then you get a few air shards. Great! This will make you have to adapt to the conditions of the world. The player will have to consider changing tactics to deal with a new situation. This is what makes a game fun and interesting.<
This is an old bug. Quite annoying for those of us who play primarily on the cloth map, but it's been in the game for quite a while. It's been reported numerous times, at least once by me.
This is cosmetic once you know about it, but looks bad, and is confusing when you don't understand what is happening. When you sell stacked items to the store, the number doesn't decrement properly as you sell each one. i.e. if I'm selling three of something, like three stacked padded armors, it will show as three and not decrement to two as I sell the first one. It updates correctly when you sell the last one, and shows that you have none left, and the sale wor
I had exactly the same thing just now. I looked for the zip file, and could not find it, but I was also in the process of trying to trade, and clicking through the possible destination champions when it ctd'd without any message except the windows 'the program has stopped responding.'
You do understand that an online poll on this website is going to be biased in favor of multiplayer. That said, I also have no interest in it, and won't play it. (What I mean by the bias, is that the sort of people who are active on a forum like this are going to be the sort who are more likely to play multiplayer, and the ones who never connect are the ones more likely to play single player.)
I also am curious about the answer to Lord Xias question. I have often encountered a an enemy leader with a collection of unread books and undrunk potions.
Had a CTD yesterday. Here's the debug log: http://pastebin.com/8SF9ugaa Just started a game, hadn't done much yet. Hadn't saved yet, or anything. When I restarted a new game it didn't happen again.
Impulse requires you to have about three times the download size in space. Also everyone is right that you need a fair amount of free space for your system.
For me it's not just the looks, although I can see how my post read that way. I also would like it if the heroes didn't all feel like they play the same.
Someone already posted a version of this problem, but I would like to bring it up again, as it is a big issue for me. A game strategy that I find myself falling into each time I play is to recruit every hero/champion I see, then upgrade weapons technology and equip each of my heroes with the best weapons and armor I can buy. This is basically irresistible for me, as I like the roleplaying feeling of buying the best equipment, and the strategy works. An army of these heroes
Good post. Welcome!
Brad, Any chance of a new drop? I don't want to go back to 1.1 cause I like your AI changes, but I can't really play 1.1c cause of the 0 hitpoint survival bug. Thanks
I have to say that I feel like 1.1c had too many resources in general. I liked the feeling that resources were scarce in 1.1. 1.1c just feels like resources are too easily available.
