I think OS/2 was the first operating system with a graphical interface I used. But not for long, I've got very vague memories of it, since my school upgraded to Windows 95 about a month or two after computer science classes started. Though it didn't make much difference, we were learning Norton Commander at the time. Let's just say the curriculum in my country for computer science was crap for most of the time, sort of still is.

The tower defense game isn't actually made by the same people. It's a letdown because of it's limitations. Not enough variety in the towers, the upgrades are sometimes pointless, the unit AI is exploitable, and though the idea of sending your own customized waves of units is nice, the implementation doesn't allow for a lot of strategy, turning the later parts of a game into a slow grind.

Had the chance to play it for a few hours today. It's a lot like Civ 5, same combat, similar rules, but with spells instead of research, more in a blind research sort of way, and simplified city management, in the sense that there's no unrest and stuff. City development though is quite nice, very limited building space means you've got to specialize a lot. The graphics are very colorful which lends it a whimsical and charming atmosphere that suits the game very well. You can cast

Bwahahahaha, welcome to my world! Well, no, not really, but this was happening on my singlecore in the previous version. I'm about 2 hours away from downloading 0.85 so I'll get to testing it soon, maybe even verify how it works on the singlecore compared to the older version. You could check to see if the time continues to be that long on maps with low density of monsters and resources and with different AI levels. I found no conclusive evidence that it has a noticeable effec

This happened in the previous version as well, you'll actually have to be able to recruit level 5 heroes to get the lvl 3 ones. I think it's a typo.

I've been having problems downloading as well, the speed won't go over 150k, and it drops periodically below 50 and just stops. Opera does have a resume function, but I don't know how usable the final file will be at this rate. Still 2 hours of 4 hours left. How long till the new Stardock Store is up and running? I had high hopes SOADA would stand for Shenanigans on a Dilapidated Albatross, but this will work too. [e digicons];P[/e]

CPU/RAM wise you're better than fine, but I'm not sure about the GPU. It needs to support shader model 3, which I think the i5 does, but it's not clocked that high. You may have slowdowns in full detail. Later edit: I didn't notice the other topic.

Don't mean to dredge this up again, but it was 100% the PSU at fault. I'll be testing FE on a dual core from now on. So if you ever have a PC that has the same problems mine did, change the PSU. And they lived happily ever after. The end. I hope there won't be a sequel.

I have the GamersGate version. All it's patches are available there, on the game's page. If you like something client based, you could get the Desura version. I personally prefer GG, since it doesn't have one. It's also available on Impulse, in spite of the devs saying they wanted to pull it after the Gamespot deal.

Champions are automatically able to cast spells. What makes the sovereign special – as a channeler – is they’re the ones with the ability to derive mana from the shards. That's still not enough. Once you've got a champion, there really isn't any way to differentiate between him and your sovereign since the shard mana is collected trough shrines built by cities or outposts with no involvement from the sovereign,

I wouldn't say it came out of nowhere, this game was released a while ago, about 2 years. It runs on an Athlon 64 3000+, 1GB of RAM and an X1950Pro video card. But how it actually performs depends on how big you want it to be. I'm not kidding in the slightest when I say you can make a galaxy with a million star systems in it, that is it's best feature, you can make incredibly large galaxies. When I reviewed it in 2010, the game had a lot of rough ed

The final version seems to run better than the preview one so far. Also, the GamersGate version of Crusader Kings 2 doesn't require Steam or anything. Actually, I haven't seen a sign of Paradox Connect in it either, maybe I missed it.

I've managed to spend a few hundred turns in Fallen Enchantress, I've come up with a few suggestions regarding the way heroes and sovereigns level up and develop over time. So here goes: Chapter 1: I'm the Sovereign here, not you Since the game is going in the direction that heroes traveling the land will have the ability to cast spells on their own and the dynasty system went bye bye, any hero can contribute to the

Right then. So I spent a few hours running different game setups and timing how long it takes to AI to move between turns. At times it went all the way into the 90 second range. That actually happened with normal resources instead of dense, so there goes that theory. I did manage to get it stuck again 28 turns in on a tiny map, with few monsters and one opponent. I'm sure it was stuck, and not just taking a long time... unless it took more than 2 and a half minutes to think about doing th
