Happened to me twice now with the latest patch. Is this a new bug? Because the game has been out for a couple of years now...

Thank you for the tips! I guess I need to start producing some cannon fodder.
I'm playing against 7 AI and I'm in the middle of the pack score wise. I have two armies with 6 or 7 size 5 groups, and I can take on monsters labelled "strong". However, now an "epic" dragon suddenly decided to stomp around and level my cities and there's just nothing I can do against it. I'm going to have to start over. What should I have done differently?
Well, 20 turns after that (still without ever seeing a single unit or even the borders of that AI empire) I've suddenly earned the respect of that AI and they wanted peace. Was it the fame I got through completing quests that did that, I wonder?
I've "met" two AIs, although I don't see their borders and I've never seen any of their units. After I've settled my second city (on a coastal peninsula), one of those AIs felt betrayed and declared war. Why?
I'm very confused right now: What am I missing? EDIT: Is it because I chose to be a conclave and not a town? If so, damn...
Oh, was 2.0 the big diplomacy update? Or was that 1.8? I hope not because 1.8 was just released and contained almost nothing... Can someone find the Frogboy post where he details what 1.7, 1.8 (and 2.0?) was going to contain?
This might become the first DLC I purchase for this game! Is 1.8 still on its way? I can't find the details on its contents anymore...
unfortunately the new maps won't work with sk. But the tactical battles may have special bonus tiles that do extra damage if you're in it.
If there will be bonus tiles, will there also be penalty tiles?
My DLC suggestions would act as a word of warning for E15 as well: - I would like to see anything that adds diversity to the late game! For example, Age of Wonders 3 was just released, and I'm only waging war with the first out of 8 AIs on this large random map, and already I'm seeing max tier units, and one of my cities has built every possible building. It makes me suspect that once I've beaten this faction, I won't continue with
Quoting dawgs4ever, reply 122 Any chance that the Mob AI will begin attacking NPC AI units? I know that if I have a pioneer and a spearmen running around together and they end a turn next to a wandering mob, that the mob will attack them 99.9% of the time. However, whenever I see NPC pioneers running around and they end the turn next to a Mob, the Mob does not attack them, which makes it very easy for the NPC on hig
I just tried to exit my game, and while I was at the main menu, the game asked me to engage in battle to which I chose auto resolve, but oh, no that wasn't enough, I also had to choose how to level up my hero... This, and the fact that all region changes on the map are delayed one turn makes me thing that the event time system implemented in this game is completely out of whack. When will this be fixed? It's been this chaotic and confusing since Fallen Enchantress!
Update: I got it working now, so either you HAVE to target the last unit in the line or it skips the rest, or it skips text messages telling me a unit is immune or that it missed.
I got a plague in my capital and chose to create a community for those striken. I then got a quest to visit the community which I did and found it empty. Everyone had been taken to a mine that I visited, but chose the option to come back later. The quest then changed to tell me to kill a Lich, but the mine disappeared and there is no Lich to be found.
Currently, the lightning bolt does NOT damage all enemies in line, only one. Either fix the behavior or change the description, please.

I previously found a post detailing the 1.4 and 1.5 patch notes which looked really interesting and though that, heck, I pre-ordered Elemental and waited all these years for the game to mature, I can wait a few more months... but tonight I decided to install 1.4 off Steam anyway... and I only got about 20-30 turns into the game, when all of a sudden: Crash!
The tile info window now shows the owner of owned terrain
Finally, I don't have to wonder who the heck resides there when I discover colored borders on the map! But I still have to guess where the heck people who I meet the first time are coming from (since that dialog can pop up without a single unit or border from the person in question on the map).
This is actually a report for three separate bugs, but I chose the most important one for the topic name. Bug 1. Borders on mountains don't draw well... Bug 2. Borders STILL don't update on the same turn (I reported this in FE already)... Bug 3. Even if you use the lower land spell to carve a path through the mountains
Quoting Ausland, reply 24I have actually discovered if I put my weakest unit in the back corner of the tactical map and surround him with my units, then the enemy ceases to move because they can no longer reach the target. Oops, wish I had not read that, lol.
I'm not going to exploit that, but wow.
I'll just pick 5 things from my feedback thread : There is seemingly no way to see which route a unit will take before you release the right mouse button. Similarly, I do now know how to see how many turns a movement order will take to complete (both before and after it has been issued). Also, I do not know how to see the range of my unit before moving (except in combat). In short, the movement system needs to be much mor
This is a newly placed outpost next to a rather new city: Note how the outpost just completely ate away at the city's already established area of influence. This is silly, imo. A city should exert a stronger influence than an outpost, no? Or at least there could be some middle ground? I've seen this behavior before, in which any newly placed object or upgrade which is able to
I feel handicapped now that I have a game installed on my PC which isn't Steam. How do I know when this 1.1 patch is out and where do I get it?
This is a basic feature and there really should be no issue that the options the AI gives you should also be the options you can give to the AI. If the AI can throw your units out of his territory, then so should you be able to return the favor.
I do not know how you could have had a black screen it was positioned incorrectly or the city's territory was completely hidden by the popup. But the popup does give a few bits of information about the city including it's name.
I got the black screen because of number 10 in my list (visual results of events are delayed and popups appear in the wrong order). I was in a quest battle and finished it which mad
