There is only a cost if you intended to take another weakness. If not, there is no reason not to tack these two on. I rarely take weaknesses except for "Rebels" sometimes. I don't abuse the might/weak freeby (personal choice), but really if I or other players were playing optimally in that situation, you would tack it on every time, and have this bizarre mighty-weak sovereign with +1 attack.
*facepalm*

Looks really really good... real damn shame about the dead trees.. they still havent been fixed.. the landscape would look a whole lot better if the dead trees had spidery branches rather than just dead poles trunks of wood... especially with the undead focus...
looking good. If I get bored with CK2 I'll give it a burl again.
Quoting Vaul_Darkhour, reply 5 have you heard of the game Warlords (and its sequels)? In its own way a very simplistic game BUT very fun game. Is that the same series as "Warlords: Battlecry III"? I have that on Impulse and like it because it runs on my netbook, but I never really got too into it. The game that E:FE reminds me of that is one of my all time favorites is Age of Wonders. <b
Yep I agree. I've already posted a thread asking Stardock to fix the difficulty options/tooltips here , so hopefully its fixed by next patch.

If you would enjoy it as a tactical game then I don't really want to try to talk you out of it. But to be more explicit, The combat is pretty shallow, compared to anything I would consider a wargame. There's no benefit to maneuver, no shock or
Could FE be a successful magic wargame/rpg if you just played it as such? No, because it's combat and quests, while a fun twist in 4X-TBS genre, are shallow compared to a wargame or rpg
Sorry I might be reading you wrong, could you expand on that?
4.Improve/Refine the tech tree. 8.Improving the AI. 13.Improve/Refine City development.
obviously this is something that can be modded later to suit, but after playing the game, I think maybe its too convoluted at this stage of the game and maybe dumbing it down a little first would help in beta..
Now I'm not seriously entertaining the idea, but for arguments sake, lets say that the tech tree and buildings were removed. Would this change the game seriously for better or worse? I find both areas a little convoluted and not really needed because I can win the game without relying on both. Obviously areas need balancing, but as long as there is no definite need for both imo, then why are they needed? Could FE be a successful magic wargame/rpg if you just played it as such? Build up yo
If using the cheats above, please be mindful that your own starting faction isn't played out by the AI.
this is hilarious.!
ha!.. i believe his talking about one on one duals.. the classic dual. Not warfare with lots of people. Just armour up and wait till they run out of arrows.. (if it was possible)
For those interested in testing the AI, you can autoplay the AI on challenging difficulty to see how it fares. Just remember to reveal map so you can view the AI first. These cheats are from WOM and I haven''t tested them all, but reveal map (Ctrl+U) and AI mode (Ctrl+Z) work. You need afaik to put the switch '-cheat' in your short cut first to enable them. Ctrl+A = Opens a list of unit ac
As an answer to the difficulty screen questions above from another thread.
Quoting EviliroN, reply 23Vaul, you should notice that if you change the main screen from normal to challenging, then go into customize, those, too, are on challenging. It does that in my game, at least. Ok cheers EvilroN, so if you change the main screen difficulty to challenging, then the customize opponents are changed to challenging
We also need a separate XP slider, so people who dont want Champions of doom can set their heroes to get like 90% less XP and those who want more active heroes can set it to get full XP amounts. This will also do wonders for the difficulty level.
Nice AI option too LordRikerQ!
