I haven't read too much about the combat system. Can anyone provide me to a link or answer if you are able to modify the combat mechanics?
My own economic concept is to have a specific overarching monetary based system with a commodity based system overlapping for different races..
seems a natural ability to deisgn into the game. In your multiplayer games you could, if you needed to take a break for some reason, temporarily vassal out your empire to an ally instead of pausing etc.. on the other hand in single player it could be seen as a type of scenario where the challenge is made after you have played out the history of the game there and then..
Civ4's SDK also includes the C++ source code for the game DLL file. You're probably only thinking of the python scripting. But with the full SDK you can do anything to the actual game code itself. The only thing you don't really have access to is the graphics and network engines.
Good to see you onboard this game also Dale.. should be interesting to mod eh? ;)
Warlods 2 was one of my fave games at the time. Was simply hooked playing MM hotseat.. you could party and still play because of the time it took to go around.. great stuff!
looks good Brad, I was wondering when someone would get around to some of the concepts like this one in a game! While I was putting together a game doc a few years ago I came up with an almost identical system which I've been working on in my spare time. Come to mention it, the storyline/shard/channeler concept is also nearly identical.. Mind you, when your trying to take the best parts of several games, rejig and put them together ie. MoM, Kohan, Majesty etc.., brillia
any plans on doing a proper sequel to Betrayal at Krondor? ;)
I read the beasts as a descriptor for multiple beast races, sentient or not..
Hi all, just thought I'd pop in and give recognition. I too have waited since MoM in the mid 90's for a sequel. AOW was ok but IMO was to bogged down in micro management. I hope that Elemental stays true to the KISS principal like MOM did but with massive scope for gameplay. Haven't looked at the perorder thing yet but I will and look forward to beta testing E:WOM. Cheers
