Hi! I just conquered a city while researching magic as well - perhaps the two events (next magic & city) bit themselves? System crashed straight to desktop on a big PC using Windoze 7 Pro 32bit. debug.err: http://filebin.ca/qwxnmm/debug.err Crash ZIP file: http://filebin.ca/guunrs/Elemental1_07-2010-09-03T21-02-31-58

Okay, all this laughter aside... [e digicons]^_^[/e] I can understand that you don't want to have several of these programs on your system. Well, in this case it is possible to install Impule, don't allow it to auto-start, only start it if you wish to check for updates, then shut it down again. See it like an Elemental-Update program, especially as it doesn't have to run if you play Elemental. Hope this helps [e digicons];)[/e] <p
I agree with Cree (hey, I'm a poet and I didn't even know it!) - it would certainly be Most Useful if we could upgrade our old troops. You know, the ones with all their experience, which we've had running with us for years?
Confirm. Sounds like a buglet to me - after all, In Real Life (as much as that's worth) many cities were created at road crossings...
I rather like the effect - and Ahroo is quite right: let each faction have its own style, that would be grand! (Aaaaaaand... if they would start looking rather more different facewise than they're doing now... would be even better!)
Yaay, 1.07! Any chance of hearing when, approximately, it might be out? [e digicons][/e]
I would rather like that, too: especially in the beginning it would be very useful. First you shoot at the creatures with a bow, and as soon as they're closer, you grab your hammer (from your belt), loose an action point or two in doing so, and then hit them nice and hard...
There's always the 'Action' function of disbanding them, whereupon they'll be Good Citizens in the nearest town.
Both points have been mentioned before. Turns out your kids age faster than you because you never age and never die (unless through, hm, external influences). Thus sooner or later they'll catch up with you [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Very good idea! Include a truly randomly generated map, and you'll be exploring quite a bit, never knowing what's around the corner :)
Okay, here's another long list of small bugs (except for the 'Out of Memory' I got after a couple of hours in a late game, but you already know about that one). 1) Minimap is useful, but keeps turning itself off - probably after a load. 2) Why do I keep hearing some low-grade junkie laughing at me along the lines of "Walking through here as if he owns it!"? Especially when he has something like 4 HP, and I have a rather powerful army, which kills him in the firs
After enjoying a lot of direct battles (preferable to auto-resolve) and crushing the world under my heels (or at least my opponents, who were stupid enough to declare war without even knowing me), I found more (small) bugs - all of them relating to combat: 1) At times, two units were swapped: a Golem of mine was next to their troop, and some monster of theirs stood right next to my people. Happened several times - and it's irritating, as you tend to overlook the
Thanks for your quick responses, kryo and BoogieBac! I must admit that I would have simply ignored this post [e digicons][/e]
Good point, Robert, I fully agree!
No way, sorry. I buy a game, I want all bugs to be fixed. If you're such nice guys as Stardock and add new stuff for free, that's just a good reason for me to buy your games without looking at any reviews or demo versions, and recommend you to my friends. After a year you bring out an add-on pack - I will buy it without even thinking about it. A further add-on? Will buy it again. Limit me to a year or somesuch? I refuse to even think about
So, I'm a mage, supported by my spawn and some archer groups, playing on Windoze 7 32bit with a largish CPU and no lack of processing power in the graphics card, either. Here are some buglets I've found: 1. Order an archer to shoot, zoom into the target: the target gets hit, animations and sound display, but we don't see the arrows - those only show up if zoomed out rather far. Seems strange, and showing then just before impact would definitively
Quoting Baleurion, reply 63 If they just straight copied MoM at least they would START OUT with a great core gameplay experience, which they could THEN modernize and build upon. Sometimes its pointless to reinvent the wheel, especially if the wheel turns out to be a hexagon that rolls chuggishly. I'm... afraid I have to agree here.
Join the club. But - they did try to make a MoM v2 - d
Yes - when we had too little food, and the chaps left me without mentioning it - simply ran away, looking for food elsewhere, I presume. Or maybe they starved in their beds, I didn't check... How's your food supply? Ciao, Klaus
Confirm problems with auto-combat: attacked a group which used magic on me. They cast magic twice, and my entire group died before we could do anything. Reload, try auto-combat: the opponents simply died, my group was hardly damaged... ...yet more bugs to fix! Wouldn't want to swap with you guys ;) Ciao, Klaus
http:///joeuser.com did work for me, too (nothing else did). I've never even heard of this JoeUser thing, but since it's part of Stardock, it knew me - I was already automagically logged in, and could simply upload my image under my Account data. Thus: problem solved (for me, that is - this forum certainly has a bug) Ciao, Klaus
Well, I had some unprotected resourced destroyed by wandering monsters - including one unarmed city. But yes, the AI does need quite a bit of work... Ciao, Klaus
Very good, I also fully agree, except with the tiny buttons - never had a problem there, and they might be needed on low-res/small computers. Ciao, Klaus
Confirm a Crash After Reload in v1.06. Unfortunately, I immediately restared the game (I am having fun here ;) ) and don't have the crash data files... Ciao, Klaus
I must admit that I don't mind so much. Yeah, I'd been playing for about 10 hours, but I was clearly winning, and thus a new start is okay with me. Especially as more bugs have been fixed [e digicons][/e] Ciao, Klaus
Ah, you can't escape from me anyway - I was born in Canada ;) I'll post once I receive my box, as I also ordered it a looong time ago... Ciao, Klaus
