Well, in that case - if added, perhaps add it as an option only?

Frankly, count me out. I happen to have a watch on my wrist. And on the wall. And on the second monitor. Don't need another one to take me out of the game back into reality every time I look at it [e digicons]O:)[/e]

Well, not only can you find more resources, and research better food production, but the problem usually happens when you take over enemy cities. For some reason, so far the AI doesn't seem to always need food, and they place cities all over the place. Capturing them can decrease your available food by a lot . And since food is a scarce thing, you have to be really careful about placing cities not next to a harvesting place. Besides... y

I don't know if this helps - but I had very similar graphics problems with a different game (and my PC is waaay up there as far as requirements go). Turned out that my graphics card overheated - you might want to open your PC and see if it's too full of dust - after all, PCs typically dust themselves full... Oh, and dare I suggest a more powerful PC - you can get rather nice systems second hand on eBay... [e digicons][/e]

Chaps, a message like "Another OOM crash" doesn't help much... Please: more details, and the crash debug data (see https://forums.elementalgame.com/391297 for details). Also say if you've reloaded, how many times, how far in the game you were, and so on. That way they actually can (and will) fix this...

Hi! To send a bug report in (complete with save game), have a look at this post, where it is explained: https://forums.elementalgame.com/391297 I also had the exact same problem, and mailed the save game in, too. Hope it works! [e digicons]B)[/e]

Happened again: ...and this time I did a save: http://filebin.ca/tqzbsv/QuickSave.EleSav And yes, it lasted past the save/reload [e digicons];P[/e]

Very interesting post, thank you. Is there any way that we could get an option file, where we can define where these files are to be placed? For example, my system uses an SSD drive for c:, which should not be used by games. Any chance of installing/handling the game using the data drive D: only would be appreciated!

Well, first off, allow me to apologize to you, Frogboy. I did not have enough info on this, and thus assumed that "some moronic manager with reality-loss" messed things up. Aftter reading your very open and honest post on this ("my own catastrophic poor judgment") I understood what happened, and I do apologize. Here's to you, for actually being a real manager! [e digicons][/e] Yes, I bought the LE version the instant I

Yes, I agree - the review points are all valid. Mind you, the crashes are a lot less now, but that's from 1.06 onwards. And... um, er... I apologize in advance, but... the score of 4.0 is correct. [e digicons]:typo:[/e] Hey, hey, relax, put down that knife. I always find that reviewers simply don't understand these numbers. They go from 1.0 to 10.0. Thus, an average, okay, game should be 5.0. A really good game would be in the 9 area. Many games sh
kill that one, it's only got 5HP left!
Correct! Just make darn sure that you'll attack first ;)

Well, I agree with most of your points: 1) I love the graphics. A very unique style, looking lovely. The one thing they're allowed to change is are the factions. Currently, they all look like they're simply humans wearing some make-up - definitively not good enough! And... yes, I do want an MOM clone. Very definitively. And I'm not the only one, I bet. However, seeing how very much you can modify this game with some patches, I'm quite sure

Hey, horsie-lover, I loved Moo3! I mean, the box was pretty, the DVD in was great to place my coffee-cup on, and it introduced my to GalCiv, which I'be been playing like crazy (and, of course, bought them all). [e digicons][/e] Otherwise, yes - I fully agree with every point on your post, and thus: credit where credit is due ;)

As mentioned elsewhere, you've got my full support as well! I assume some idiot manager [e digicons]:erk:[/e] is responsible for forcing you to release much too early, but hey, I'm willing to do more Beta-testing. This game looks very good indeed, and - after a while of fixing bugs and improving things - will be a certain classic [e digicons][/e]

Out of Memory crash, again... I'm off to bed, it's after midnight... debug.err: http://filebin.ca/jdfg/debug.err Debug file: http://filebin.ca/csjapy/Elemental1_07-2010-09-04T00-00-01-767.zip Have fun, good luck finding where that bug comes from... Solymer89, it's nice that you're so very understanding, and I myself rather like the company StarDock, too (excellent and fast support, very nice games, no DRM). But... if you pay money for a piece of software, you simply assume that the coders either know of no more errors in the software, or know a few very hidden bugs they're working on and will fix in a patch.

Bug: I had a large group of archers. They did between 8 and 15 points of damage to a group of opponents, until these guys reached them and killed all my archers except one. This one now suddenly causes 67 points of damage with the next shot, and continues doing horrific damage every turn. Very nice, but sadly implausible. Bug: I keep getting out of memory errors much more often than I did in v1.06. Don't know if I can finish the current game on a large map

Confirm. Had this problem both in v1.06 and 1.07 - initially I thought this might be due to my system being exceptionally busy, but this time all four CPUs were only concentrating on the game...

kryo, it's actually not difficult to place a drink in front of your system using a floppy drive. You simply need a flat piece of wood which'll fit halfway into the drive, with enough remaining outside to hold your coffee. On a 3 1/2" it's even easier, as (if you have but a little cup), the disks will hold it for you already... [e digicons]^_^[/e] (Any of you guys got this game running on a Sperry/Univac 1100? Hm... ever since the update, my system seems to crash more often, not less. I posted the first crash with all debug info - got an 'Out of Memory' just now, with no debug info. My system is a Windoze 7 Pro 32bit, 4GB RAM, plenty of HD space, dual-monitor on a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275. Here some suggestions I thought of while playing: 1) Every now and then, I go through all my cities to see if they're happy. It shou

Well, as soon as I took the last two cities, it fixed itself. It seemed to think that this wood saw belonged to my opponent... My apologies for not saving at this point...

Hi! Looks like the borders are somewhat messed up - and the city border color of NIELIH should be green (it's definitively mine): The opponents had just created a city right where the cute loops are to be found. I attecked it, razed it, and now admire the artful border shape... Ciao, Klaus
