For all you "A Song of Ice and Fire." fans out there's a new game coming out. I never read the books, but I might play the game. Check it out HERE .
Bah, you don't like football [soccer] Raven? PS. Another funny video ->
Soccer is only called "Football" in 3rd World Countries :P REAL Football is played with a Pigskin and you use your hands :P Edit: When I say 3rd world countries, I mean the rest of the World :P
Money is power, and justice is power...by cross definition, money is justice and with it you have the power to buy your way out of anything. OJ got away with Murder and we're worried about some foreign underage prostitutes? You guys would Hate Bangkok, Thailand, most of Asia for that matter, not to mention anywhere in South America from Mexico on down. There's a huge world trade for under age prostitutes of all ages, races, sexes, creeds, and colors. Thousands of people, both successful men A
factions are not a big focus anymore as they were in Gal Civ2 its more of a focus on Races but still there's plenty of more depth since races add to factions need some Drow & Bad Ass demons. To bad there won't be an underdark like feature or at least that we know of yet. you would also need plenty of creatures and monsters.
That's true, but it's also arguable and/or comparative. My goal w
Quoting Raven X, reply 16 Quoting TheBirthdayParty, reply 15 If performance means the game will not slow down after turn 50 then thank you EVER so much! Off Topic: That's easily one of the HOTTEST Avatars I've ever seen. You should check out the show its from, Skins. Their portrayel of two teenage girls in bristol falling in love is fu
The Dark Empire of "The History of the Runestaff" by Michael Moorcock?
LoL that's one hell of a last name. It sounds like he was named after a porn actor...RofL.
I would love to see a mod based on the "Wheels of Time" book series. Trollocs anyone?
The Wheel of Time is a great series. Isn't that the series where the author died before he could finish it? <
So does that mean that the Elemental books will have Master Verga?
Granted I haven't read anything from the books aside from what's been posted on the Elemental site, but, I'd think it's a safe bet that most if not All the Sovereigns in the vanilla game will at least be "mentioned" in the book. That's just an educated guess though.
By all the gods I HATE those things. Watching soccer is bad enough. Watching it with annoying noise is some cruel kind of torture. I'd love to see some nut job go on killing spree at one of these events and blow the brains out of anyone with one of those god awful horns.
Note: NO, this isn't a dirty video. It's on YouTube, which means it's not pirated or "dirty" or it would have been taken down. Who else has watched all the episodes of Caprica that have been aired? It's a really awesome show. Seeing the history behind how the cylons were created is probably every sci-fi's lovers dream. Here's even more reason to watch the show... Alessandra Torresani....MmmMmmm...hehe. <embed width="640" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/J5Xr4

It's funny you should mention redoing research. Just yesterday I was watching the teaser trailer again and I saw a glimpse of the original iteration of the research screen and I thought "Hey, that looks cooler then the system we have now". At least it looked like it gave the player more choice. Of course it only "looked" that way. The difference was you picked one thing at a time instead of picking a group then picking something out of that group. It research feel like it took longer, which I
I too love Dune, Ziktur. Unfortunately I never read the books, but the first movie is one of my all time favorites. Honestly though, in my opinion, I classify Dune as being strictly Sci-Fi. You are correct that it does have more then a few mystical/magical things in it. Still, with space ships, lasers, machines, vehicles...and all that stuff, I wouldn't ut it in a "Fantasy" mod. I wouldn't mind seeing a pure Dune Mod though. I think that would be cool. :) Anyone else have any race/fac
Ahh, ok. I see what you meant now,DeadlyShoe. I'm still not ignoring MoM, but, Elemental is Not a MoM clone. It's far more advanced in Every way. Also, even though MoM had a very simple stat system, it didn't have the game-play flaws that are happening now in Elemental's battles. When having too few stats introduces flaws in the system then I'd say that's a problem, no matter how good other examples of a simplified system may be. Just look at D&D for an example. On paper the D&D stat
ravenx how can you simply ignore master of magic?
How am I ignoring MoM? I loved MoM :) MoM was a semi-simplistic game, that's true. It was the combination of all it's systems combined how-ever that made MoM as good as it was. For it's time MoM was incredibly Complex. Compared to the complexities of today's games though MoM is rather lacking. Still, in it's day, MoM was my FAVORITE Fantasy Strategy game. :)</
Quoting Island Dog, reply 39 I spend more on PC games than console games hands-down, with the great majority bought from Impulse. Interesting. So Stardock employees actually have to buy games on Impulse with their own money? At Valve they get so called Steam master accounts which are worth about $15,000 with every single game on Steam unlocked.
I'm sure Stardock employ
Quoting Sethai, reply 224 i love brad and could never do what he does, but he can be stubborn on things like this (for good reason; release is only a month away), but he really needs to budge on this imho. movement speed and number of attacks really need to be split up imho at the least. in the long term, there needs to be even more change. I agree on all points. Especially about movement speed and number of attack
I don't know if I'm crazy or what but it kinda feels like the "Large" map setting has shrunk a little. I could have sworn in Beta 3B when I would auto-generate a multi-continent large map that it was slightly larger then a large map is now. Looking at the size of the large maps now I'm starting to think I'm going to have a problem making the world of Krynn with any kind of accuracy because of size limitations. What are the chances of us getting access to 64Bit functionality within the
Don't do it!!!! NooooOooOoOoooooo!!!!! Gotta Kill Em All, Gotta Kill em All!!! LoL... J/K More power to you my friend. I was a little too old for Pokemen when it came out so I never got into it. I thought the "concept" was cool, but the art and animation was too "cutesy" for my tastes. I wouldn't mind seeing a Magic The Gathering Mod for Elemental though.
Those are both great examples ThreeKings, thanks. What I'm looking for though are specific faction ideas. I could do a couple "Greyhawk" factions though I'd have to dig out my books on the world which are packing up outside in my shed somewhere. Back when I was youngster and first started playing D&D we used Greyhawk too. Damn....now I feel old too :P
It would be cool to have a weather system, but it prolly means different land types.
That's what I'm thinking too.
Mafia 2 looks simply Amazing. It's the other big release I'm looking forward too next month. Everything in the game world is physically represented the right way. Wood splinters like wood, glass breaks like glass, tiles chip off of walls when you shoot them, you can shoot out the tires on cars....man i can't wait.
When talking about the Mods I plan on making, my first and for-most priority is the Dragonlance Mod, but, I will be making at least one other mod for sure. It will be called... Raven's Epic Fantasy Wars Basically it will be Elemental in terms of scope and game-play, except all the Kingdoms and Empires in the game will be taken from a Collection of Fantasy Literature through-out the ages. Everything for Mythological Sources too Fantasy Novels like LotR and Dragonlance. In
That screenshot mentions weather. Interesting! I know that the python scripting isn't going to make it at release, but that's what I'm most looking forward to mod wise. You can do some REALLY crazy things once you can script how the game should handle things.
I noticed that too. It makes me wonder "Is there an Actual weather system in the game? Or does that simply refer to the types of land used to m
They can't change the names of any characters that are featured or mentioned in the books. The books have already went to press.
for all this talk of an evolving product, the game has to get good reviews at launch or it will be damned.
Exactly. Elemental needs to be All That It Can Be from Day One. Not six months after release when all the buzz is gone. GC 2 is a Prime Example. See reply below. P.S. YouTube Elemental Teaser Trailer HERE . ;)<
