Good article. It's annoying me though that I can't find that pic you show there in their pictures anywhere. They have 70 images hosted on a total of 6 pages but I can't find that one anywhere except in a very small pic on the side of the page the article is on. When I click on it I get sent to their 6 pages of pics and that one isn't there. I want to see a larger version of that picture.
This might be a stupid question/request, but, is there any chance that we can get the RTM Version on the same date you send it off to be manufactured? I'm talking about only for the Beta Testers/Pre-Orders of course. I understand the contractual obligations you have with retailers and them having to stick to your release date, but, seeing as how it's your (Stardock's) game and you have your own Digital Distribution system you should be able to give it to your Beta Testers and Pre-Or
It may be a good idea to judge the game by the final product instead of the beta before you give up but maybe it isn't the type of game you would like.
That's the thing I don't like about today's technology and "Digital Download" services. Especially when Devs say "The game will Never be done". While that is good that it means they'll keep putting out expansions and updates and more content, it still means the game is Never Done

Mine is more like a "Fence of Text" compared to his "Mountains of Text". Shame on you for not reading the whole thread. You're supposed to commit each word of every post to Memory before even thinking about posting a reply....jees, some people's kids, I swear. hehe J/K, man. ;
Well - separating attack and movement is a great idea and I'm all for it, but combined movement/attack points isn't really the cause of the absurd number of attacks per round, it just exacerbates that problem. The more basic cause is that all attacks/spells are set to a cost of 1, the cost needs to be variable - 1 point per attack is fine for a dagger, sure, but a bow or spell should be more like 4. Separating movement and attack points wou
I'm pretty sure you just have to walk into the cloudy area but I don't know for sure. I've never retreated myself, just seen the AI run from me.
The core of the reason we're wanting NullAshton's numbers (which essentially separate move and attack) is to fix the core issue that having high moves shouldn't have an effect on number of attacks, which should just depend on Combat Speed only. Most of the issues you describe are just current bad balance where you can't get units with more than 15-20 hp (if that), and are using 60+ damage weapons, turning everything into a glass cannon uni
How does the AI "not fall for it"? If my ranged guy has a higher combat speed then your mêlée guy, I win unless I screw up. You have no defense against it because you can't reach me to mêlée. Ever. The only thing you can "not fall for" is that it's a mistake to send slow mêlée units anywhere without either fast or ranged backup. Not that I even need to move, since with the current combat syste
Anyway, I played through the game on easy. It was alot of fun and took only about 2 and 1/2 hours. I could see myself paying $5 to $10 for additional content and will probably play through the game a few more times on more increased difficulty. There were some networking issues here and there - took a bit to find a game I could connect to (and there's no info out there on what ports to forward, if needed), but once I connected,

Safer to enlist?...or patently absurd? The REALLY stupid/scary bit is the sort of guns people can have. Who the hell needs a 50 cal machine gun? [other than some third world coup leader].
Probably more people [US] die at home from shootings than do US soldiers in Iraq.
That's the only part of your reply I don't agree with. We've had WAY more fatalities from war since we got involved in the middle east during Desert Storm and up to now than we've had in the last 10 years from "Accidental Shootings". Note that I say ACCIDENTAL Shootings. I think in this argument "Gun Crime" shouldn't be considered as we're
Note: I could take or leave all the "Religious" mumbo jumbo and "Christian Values" it talks about. I'm not that religious. Still, when it comes to our constitutional rights and what's become of our so called Government, I think this poem has a lot of meaning.
Something from the " Why is it bad that the Fed is closing down illegal filesharing sites??? " thread got to me, and it made me think about something. A poem I read a long time ago by a person named Thelen Paulk. To Americans, this poem should have a very deep meaning. First off, here's what got to me from the other thread. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't believe you guys cranked out another beta over the weekend!!! Incredible, truly incredible. Well done all around indeed :) How long would you "guesstimate" between now and Beta 4? Next week some time? I'd guess maybe this week or this weekend but that might be pushing things. Expecting another one this week might be too much, even with things in "Crunch Time".

OP, seriously, be careful. Depending on what state you're in it "could" be considered indecent exposure. All it would take is for just One Kid to say he saw something "pop out" of your boxers, whether something actually popped out or not, and you'll be a registered sex offender for the rest of your life and looked at as a child molester. If you must wear boxers to go jogging, make SURE there's NO POSSIBLE WAY for anything to pop out. That way if a cop or someone does say something you can say
