Yes, I would like to see the sovereign be a playable unit in the game, but balancing him/her is going to be extremely tough given the current parameters that have been set.
I think the point a lot of people are missing is he's supposed to be over powered and uber powerful to everything else in the game. He's a channeler. He can use magic and 95% of his enemies Can't. He can throw lightning bolts to kill you and ra

You're quite right of course, Wintersong. I know they'll release the common fantasy cannon stuff eventually and a lot of it will be in the game already. I'm highly positive when Elemental comes out it will take the place as number one Fantasy Empire game of all time. The only thing it will be compared to is the original Mom, and even then they'll go on to say how Elemental blows it away. I think the Elemental staff should go beat up the Majesty 2 team and take that catch phrase away f

I'll be looking for the same thing for my Dragonlance Mod :P
Why wouldn't yo
This got me thinking. Will we be able to have cities underground, inside mountains, *coughMoriacough* etc? Underground cities would give a big bonus to defense and mining, but increases upkeep because food has to come from somewhere.
*coughThorbardincough* Everyone always goes for the LotR reference first. Don't get me wrong, I like LotR as much as the next guy. Tolkien was a god among writers but he's no

I agree vieuxchat you make a good point of course. I'm not asking anyone to share private information. I'll never give my real name out. Everyone here and on the web in general only know me as Raven Xavier. As for Rl meetings. One of my old UO shards used to have a "get together" every couple of years, usually a picnic. It w
That would transform the city into a unit ? It reminds me of the fatboy or Czar in Supreme Commander.
That would depend on the Devs I think. It could either transform the city into a unit, or, it would keep it as a city and have a mobile sphere of influence. There's no way to really tell which one would work better until it was implemented in game and tested. Of course ripping a city out of the ground would have conse

I don't know, IMO I don't much like the look of the bottle for Healing Nectar in game. To me it looks too much like a Easter Egg. The artwork on the bottle is nice, it's just the shape of the bottle I don't like. How about a bottle made of glass with a long neck and glass leaves around a bulbous base to give it that "herbal" look. Anyone else agree? Don't care? Think it looks good the way it is? Am I just crazy and being too "nit picky" ?
Non-canon modded material.
It "could" be cannon if the devs wanted it to be. We really haven't seen much of the back-story yet. I think Flying Citadels would come in very handy. It's the ultimate Fantasy mobile troop center. A Flying Base. It would be like the Ultimate planet destroying ships you get in Gal Civ 2, Doom Stars I think they're called. End Game units of course. Not cheap and not easy to build with an insanely

Nice Avatar Shadowhal. I loved Babylon 5 during the Shadow War. Come on people, post some pics! Have some balls. Don't be scared :P

I assume there are flying units in the game. Perhaps monster bird NPCs. We know there will be Dragons and some of them definitely Fly. I think it would be amazingly awesome if after you become powerful enough you can use your magic to literally rip a city out of the ground and set it in the air making a Flying Citadel. It could move once air-born, but only very slowly and it would have a Very High upkeep cost. Thoughts? <img src="http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/Raven_Xa
Yeah, I definitely think the tiles should be viewable on the landscape before you build the city in most cases, although some might require excavation or special technology to see the full extent of their effectiveness. Perhaps you can see some ahead of time, but need special tech to unlock its full potential?
I like that idea. Maybe you can use a "detect magic" spell to find special areas on the map that will gi

The title pretty much says it all. I notice I'm like the only person on the forums who uses a actual pic of themselves as a avatar. I like putting faces with names. If you've got the guts, post a pic of yourself. Note: Guys, if any girls are nice enough to post a pic of themselves lets try to be mature and not drool on them ok. That's why most girls on the internet don't even say that they are girls. Let the Posting begin!!!
I love the idea that those lairs spawn creatures into the world, and they do a great job of sticking relatively near their web, but still go "hunting". Two thoughts: 1) When you destroy the web, all the spiders immediately sprint off in random directions and wander at full speed around the map. They should try to stick near the spot where there web was, or wander slowly. As is, it makes it VERY hard to clean them up, and makes litt
Clearly you're not playing the Beta. World tiles double as city tiles. The game already has 'Fertile Ground' tiles placed around the world, and they're the prime place to place cities because they're also the only place you build farms. We're hoping there will be many more type of beneficial city tiles like this.
Yes I know that...I am playing the Beta :P. With the idea I mention there you'd have to

Could be a good idea. Perhaps refine it a little. Instead of these places being in the city, have these tiles be scattered throughout the world and if you find one you can build a town there and then get the more tile specific bonuses you speak of. These "magic building sites" could even be guarded by monsters.

MoM Nobunaga's Ambition (Remember that? One of, if not, the First Koie game on the 8 bit Nes) Medieval/Shogun Total War Lords of Magic (loved that game back in the day) Yes I know that's four games. So what else does everyone do for fun? I play a lot of video games (think that's a given). I'm a musician, a artist, a out of work game guru. Hmm what else..I collect comics. I have every issue of Amazing Spider-Man from the time I was 10-11 years old. I also have a very old issue, number 15, first appearance of the Lizard. The way the economy is going I'll probably end up retiring on my comic collection lol. I also spend a lot of "quality time" with my wife as we're still newly weds. Our fir
