That is why I said there should be minumum damage based on what the max damage is. So your right 1d100 would be bad but 60d100 or 70d100 would be fine.
Ok, I think you confused some concepts which in turn made me misunderstand you. 70d100 means 70 100-sided dice. It means a result between 70 and 7000.

Yes, combats can be messy but there's always a minimum amount of skill your soldiers have and this is a strategy game, where obscene amount of randomness are frustrating. Random results, while good, should always be in moderation. Doing 77-100 is OK. Doing 1-100 isn't. Doing 77 means that your dragon did a glancing blow, while doing 1 damage means your dragon's pinky claw hit them on their ear. It's a bit silly. The problem is that it seems they tried to merge attack chance with damag

I've just started reading the manual of the game and I noticed this section
The key word, however, is better: If a player is wearing plate armor with a defense value of 8 that provides protection against cutting weapons, and that unit is struck by a sword that does 12 damage (of type cutting), then the player will definitely roll an 8 on their defense. By contrast, if it was an iron spear that does 12 damage (of type piercing) then the player would roll a value between 1 and 8

You need to be close enough to cast the spell. Around 5 tiles max from where you want to cast it on. Also, I've found that casting this while on the cloth map works better.

[e digicons]k1[/e] On the idea of more dynasty options. I love the idea and it really follows the medieval theme. I also like the idea of being able to mary other sovereigns or have your sovereign marry their children, but this should not lead to a combined kingdom. Rather it would be a diplomatic option like an alliance (Which is realistic given historical use of marriages). I personally think we should take this a step further and allow your sovereign and your champions to

But ok if you dont want it in the regular game, then how about a box in the options where one can choose if one wants to have a cost on settlements? 2 the shield in the portrait is not there as it was in the beta. Thx for a great game /Gordon
1. I guess having such a cost for the settlements can be mo
Since you no longer start with the summoning books, there will be a few spells you don't see, but you will get them later.
Funny thing about that. I created a Sovereign with Summoning on the 1.01 patch and now I can still start with it, but I can't do so on new Sovereigns I create.

I've tried playing with a lot of towns, and I can guarantee that it's not as useful as it seems. You basically lose time and money to build the settlers and the town, and if you build it in a place with no natural resources, then you will get at best a +1 to money, material, research and knowledge. Nothing to write home about. The only benefit to building cities without resources, is building them close to your borders for rapid troop deployment and defence.

How many cores?
I DEMO the game to the press on a 3 year old Thinkpad without problems.
Then really you shouldn't be even asking us to lower our resolution in the first place. As others said, doing that doesn't work anyway. I also got an Intel Processor btw.

Let be a bit realistic here. All games, no matter how well beta tested, will have game-stopping bugs for some people . This is impossible to avoid. You were just unlucky to be those people. Don't go around abusing Stardock for not achieving the impossible and dishonestly claim that everyone has the same experience as you. I feel your pain but the way you go about it is dishonest and disrupting.
Meanwhile, the AI closest to me had about 15 cities when I started attacking it. I steamrolled them all.
Unfortunately this doesn't tell me much. From other reports and from what I've seen myself, the AI is horribly lobotomized at 1.01, even on hardest difficulty.

I read that the plan was to make city spamming not be the only viable strategy and that adventuring a bit before settling, or making few and good cities would be viable. I'm hoping that this is the case on
