The hotfix will force the player to start with the new data, ensuring validity of key components (read: less crashy).
Fortunately I had stopped playing until some of the most egregious bugs had been squashed (palying some GalCiv2 instead) so I didn't lose anything, but guys please, next time you pull something like this, display a big warning when people click to update to a non-backwards compatible patch, one which they have to OK to proceed. Then peop
They should really implement a bug database...
My Gawds, I've been asking for something like this since Demigod. I still don't understand why they haven't implemented a simple Bugzilla for crying out lout. Instead of getting post after duplicate post and having to use pastebins, it would be all built into the engine. Bah.

The customization has its heart in the right place but as others mentioned, it really need to provide tactical variation to be interesting. Simply adding more and more powerful weapons and armor is just too boring. Fortunately, we have a world with magic, so a lot of stuff can be added along that principle. The MOO2 ideas as some of the best, we need to have weapons or special abilities that work with some kind of theme. For example weapons that prevent counter-attacks, weapons that s
https://forums.elementalgame.com/391334
Came to ask exactly this. I can understand that this is the trickier one, but it is also by now the most disruptive one and it affects far too many people. I hope you guys can get this fixed before more reviewers get their hands on Elemental or it's going to be a massacre... But other than that, good to see you guys still working on the AI. At the moment it seriously needs some

If you fail in your duties to protect your spouse, you don't deserve a dinasty. "Oh, yes, I'll marry you, oh Lord that left his two previous wives to get killed by bandits!" Not to mention the balance issues that occur once you realize you can "upgrade" your peasants and keep their 8 extra HP per unit. The funny thing is that you can upgrade them and give them better weapons and armor, but for some reason they have different armor choices than the rest of your army. There's also the thing with the 0.8 dex they have, which basically reduces all armor you give them by 20%. You can abuse this by letting them stay at 0 armor and using their ungawdly H

Myabe it's a feature that has not been implemented yet.

I'm surprised nobody has linked here yet: https://forums.elementalgame.com/391334 Kargion, I assume that you have the problem only when you have cities in view? have you tired using the cloth map? FPS should pick up enough to allow you to play the game that way at least, if you got low FPS even on the cloth map, then you've go a different issue than the above one.

Yep, I've had this issue before, and usually the game CTDs eventually. A restart of the game fixes it.
What I have noticed in my case however is that the frame rate appears to drop off mainly when moving the camera around using edge scrolling. Most notably when going past towns.
This is because you just don't notice the difference with small animations. Scrolling is a big animation and therefore it shows more. Use a program like fraps and you'll see that when over cities, your FPS are under 20
but the current system (if I understand it correctly) is far more than that, stacking enough peasants with pointy sticks together gives you (a unit with stats equivalent to) a dragon.
Which by itself isn't an issue, as surely enough peasants could take down even a dragon in a theoretical scenario. The issue occurs when the costs of the peasants a far less than the costs which the developers assumed would be required to take down a dragon, or an ogre or whatever. This th

Agreed on all points and I am glad to see that stack attacks are not for the combined atk of the squad. However, as other mentioned, this is confusing on stack VS stack defence. I think the way it works is like the 3rd way Netriak wrote
- 8 rolls of 1 - 10, each knight defends against every attack with its full defense (The displayed defense amount of 40 lies in this case, it is simply 10)
Which makes the most sense. However this is not what Frogboy said but t

Yep. I'm quite satisfied even though there are some bugs affecting me (FPS drop with 3d objects - please fix asap) and some improvements I'd like to see (better magic for one). But I have faith in Stardock and I know that there's only so much the devs can do in one day. Don't give up and just keep bringing out those patches. It's all good as long as we know you guys are working on our issues.

Perfect. Came out just in the time that I couldn't play for 9 hours but I can live with that. 1 hour to go. Now if only the FPS-drop-in-late game bug is fixed, everything will be perfect.
