From the way the devs explained it and they way it has been done in the past...your card will be charged the full amount once you are able to download the beta.
Actually, Yarlen's comment was directed torward you. I respect your ideas but follow the forum rules when posting. You could definitely be a good contributor to the community but no one will take you seriously if you insult them for having a difference of opinion.
Making cities costs essence. So, if you make tons of cities...you're soveriegn will be pretty weak.
And Psychoravin, some of your posts really are rather insulting, could you please be a little bit more respectfull to the others here?
Agreed...[e digicons]k1[/e] for you
They haven't came out and said if you can utilize the editors "in game." The only thing that has been confirmed is that you will be able use the editor tools from the main menu...spells, items, maps etc.
That OTHER game we dont talk about since Stardock doesnt have the IP, had a wonderfull item generator, where you could make your own magic items - I'd love something like that as well - so easy to use!
Well, we will have an item generator..that much is for sure. We'll have to wait until Beta to see how easy it is to use. I really do hope they can incorporate the item generator into the gameplay so we can have a "Cr
So, if family members die of old age...and family members can be turned into hereos..is it safe to assume that all heroes die of old age? What about units? Do they die of old age as well?
Imagine fighting your own son! "Luke, I am your father!" I know this is a little far fetched but it would also be cool to setup statues or memorials for your deceased children. And when clicked could display written messages about the person. For this to happen, I guess the editors would need to be accesible while playing a game. This feature does sound pretty cool though. I can't wait to try it out!

I mean, there is still a year of development on this, and I can't imagine that progress is going to do anything but speed up (in art anyway). This is going to be a damn sexy game I believe. Suh-weeeeet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![e digicons]\o/[/e]
It will be interesting to see how this is implemented. If it's anything like Civ4 where you just got a block of text saying that 2 people are going to marry...well, I hardly call that a feature. But, if you can customize them and control them somehow, I would think that's a bit more personal. Sounds like these family members will be playable. How effing cool is that?!
Here is the actual article. I cant take credit for finding it. Dash5 did... http://pc.ign.com/articles/101/1017713p1.html
The new ign article had this info.. "In Elemental, while you play as an eternal sovereign you do have a noble family at the heart of your faction, and you can marry off sons and daughters to shore up alliances with other factions. This plays an important role in warfare, because suddenly factions have an emotional interest to come to one another's aid. It also means that the span of the game will cover multiple generations, so the familial ties can get quite complex." <br /
Good stuff for sure. You just know it will rock on dual 30" monitors!!! Did we get any sort of official responce on possible duel-screen support? It would be very handy in a strategy game to be able to use BOTH screens as different partss of the UI.
No official response yet. However, I think for those of us that want it should speak up! I for one would love dual monitor support.
Nice. Looking forward to the blog, Landi!
Looking good! Thanks for taking the time to show us what it looks like so far! I'm counting down the days til PAX! Whoohoo!
