Just buy some AMD Phenom X4 CPU, some cheapish AMD board for it, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and Nvidia GTX460 and you are all set. That CyberPower PC does have unfortunately pretty shitty GPU, i would avoid that, if you want the machine for gaming.
please help understand: whats the "GPU", and whats poor about it on the rig being discussed here? I'm looking, as well. Thanks
harop, what you write is totally true in RL. But in Elemental?
GW, I agree with you. The evil/good (un)fallen dichotomy seems to have little to do with gameplay. Perhaps if player(s) gained/lost game bennies (of whatever sort) based on how much of the world's terrain they have transformed to their alignment - or something like this....
a goldmine? - but goldmines have gold, and gold is so, well, tangible. isn't it more fun just to print money when you want it?
Sounds good so far. Question: Will level of 'notable location' correspond with level of 'monster' inside / level of reward??
I just saw the big bright moon. Was worth going outside.
Good idea harpo, want a job at the federal reserve Shard?
Fatnonfree, your question is easy to answer. Who is the fallen enchantress? Me, of course.
I just started my first game in months, ver 1.19g(rc) and see tremendous improvement, including the AI. If v2 is due out in a few days, then expect a great experience.
New magic type and rune: Wall Street. Developing the rune allows SOV to learn 'high finance' magics. Cast 'inflation' on your enemy's city and see the prices skyrocket. Cast the world spell "Sub-Prime-Mortgage" and the enemy loses one building a turn as long as the spell is maintained. Cost 1 mana to maintain. Or level up and cast the companion spell 'derivatives.' This will siphon one mana from the target of the sub- prime-mortgage spell as well as s
Yes, Luna, decked out in her full glory, and orbiting a littler closer than she usually does to earth will be a sight to see. And yoes, i expect the emergency rooms to have a max crowd tonight. Go out and get the whole magilla!
yes, FfH2 started used this idea, especially in the scenario chain. is a great idea...
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by invert the camera. By this do you mean switch the X and Y on the mouse? Can't you do that with the mouse software / sys software? OR does EWoM override the sys settings?
My browser of choice is Opera. i haven't had the crashes others describe. My email, and forum browsing is handled well. And, it also handles streaming hulu TV to my PC fine. Best of all, the malware manufacturers still focus on IE.
Thanks Steven. I played it when it came out. Fond memories. I guess my concern about resolution really harks back to my experience with MoM. BTW, the reworked MoM has totally awesome gameplay. BUT the graphics, on higher resolutions are just awful, forcing play at lower resolutions. Since MoM is my only experience with (a fav game from the ancient era of game design) I wondered how well the graphics in HoMM held up when played at modern / higher resolution
Obviously, the dynasty system is improving, but only by applying the "CTD" patch.
Yes, campaign is best used as a turtoral. When it comes to sandbox play (my fav), there are several necessary things to do. Build your settlement next to FOOD, (fertile land). Hire some NPCs, equip your sov w best armor u have. Build tech research buildings and research first few mil techs (better armor) (oak spears) , Equip sov/NPCs with them. Traveling boots add one movement, if you can afford it, buy them for entire wandering party.
Computer kernals have husks? Does that mean some computers might become husky?
what? I don't understand this. But, more memory (usually) --> better running of software?
yes, first few games were hard. Now, easy to win, even on high difficulty levels. Only way for me to enjoy game, right now is to roleplay. Its good for that.
Shrills, I feel its deceptive. Posters, reviewers, etc. ought to be forced to fully acknowledge their relationship with the product / game.
I suspect peak oil is 'upon us.' However, some debate the issue of when. However, it will happen as oil is neither a renewable resource (in our lifetimes) nor is it an inexhaustible supply. One thing is clear, however. The West's dependence on cheap oil has a high political and human price. And that political price is paid, often times, with the lives of soldiers and 'civilian' causalities. In addition, this dependence on oil from dictatorships (kingdoms) also hampers the willingness of th
Its a guild issue. SMILE!
Slider for determining how fate the units "appear' to move: yes. Yes. yes. BTW, I am happy with the cloth map / detail map arrangement. However, a few things that appear on the tactical map do not have an icon on the cloth map. Have cliffs /breaches been fixed to show on cloth map? Do all goodie (and not so goodie) huts now show on cloth map? I think these are the two items with which most players are concerned.
