Arcane monoliths are fine by me as is. The only change I would make is to have each monolith have a one mana maintenance cost (as suggested above). Re: settlers for outposts. Yes, I feel a separate 'create outpost only' unit be created that only uses 10 pop. But also allow the current 30 pop pioneer unit to create either an outpost, or a settlement, at owners discretion at time of 'settling.'

@ luketan Enjoy 'experimenting' with custom design factions. Even a 'failed' experiment can be fun. Two things. First, the elementalals you get via shard binding, while very kick *** in early game, don't maintain their effectiveness against mid game well trained/equipped troops. (This is also true for the death/demon sov who gets demons in shards.) About the weakness choices as a summoner sovereign: The trick is to pick a weakness whose effect doesn't cost you anything important. I find c

External, sorry I did not clarify. Looking for an external reader that can plug into the usb port of the pc, AND read the sim card from phone, and sd memory cards from the digital camera.

friend is looking for solid info on getting a card reader. One that reads both cards from cell phones, and reads the cards in digital camera (USB). [ Coolpix L-18 Camera and basic cell phone graphic card.] Thanks all.
I remember the entire technology tree to SMAC, including the prereqs for all items in the game, even though I haven't played the game for years...I am just waiting for the day where that knowledge will be key to the survival of the human race....
Sad, but I think Homo sapiens sapiens (humans) have already failed. Zorro and Conan, and Grace Jones? There you have it. The holy trinity has acted... horses are ok in settlements. (or at least riding through them...). That was a great movie. Still think the first one was the best... but they all are fun ,,,

Oh, I am so sorry, I was struck by a byte of momentary insanity. My apologies. What i meant to say was: "Thinking of Riddlekings comments about the percentages of users who have win7 and have refused to upgrade to [the OS that is not to be named]..." My bad. (embarrassed blush)

@animageous sounds like you played the "game that is not to be named" (elemental war of magic). smile

Reply to Reap in Legendary Heroes

@nighthavvk Yes, reap, as it is currently implemented (+1 per unit on successful melee hit) in the early game, when +1 is a significant percentage of a troops health, is worthwhile. By mid game, reaps utility drops when compared to other training choices. Making it +1 per figure (as suggested above) is one option to keep reap more competitive as the game advances.

The memory (recall) versus understanding and using 'data' (info, formulae, metabolic pathways, decay rates, etc., etc., ) seems one aspect of our culture that can be confusing. Lawyers, to pass the bar exam, must successfully remember and regurgitate, on command, vast amounts of 'data.' But in practice, are to always look up the law/code before advising a client - and if caught not doing so - are actually guilty of mal-practice. Early (20 years ago) Jeo

yes, Parrottmath, I checked, and they do stack. Yea. Wish someone with knowledge of the design would tell us why some of these numbers are green, and some are yellow. yellow = caution... but caution of what?
