Flying by instruments (only) has been around a long time. This is an enhancement of that - but an expensive one?

Prevention is important, as well. maybe we might reduce the shock and awe of warfare?
Nice diversion. Thank you. Hope it educates folks about scams...

The worst offenders are often the folks who put commitment to their ideology (of what ever flavor) above treating everyone as a true neighbor. It happens when people treat other people as a means

Amen to cats, knowledge, and connecting. Our wisdom and compassion has not increased as quickly as our toolmaking expertise. Sad.
With the morning after pill now sanctioned by the US gov't as a form of abortion (at the employers say so); I expect such procedures as mentioned in this thread to attract a great deal of protest, litigation, and just plain old angst. After all, my sacred text, and my god are totally right, I'm totally righteous, and every other holy book, and follower of any other faith is just plain (at best) wrong. They might even be doing evil! Such attitudes permeate and pollu

A part of me has died as well. He and I are same age, and we both struggle with chronic depression. He was very intelligent - so the 'ignorance is bliss' effect did not dull his sense of how nasty this world can be. Laughter is great medicine for this. He became an expert. But in solitude, the depression gets you bad. He had it bad. RIP Robin Williams, I will miss you, badly.

[quote who="Frogboy" reply="2218" id="3485492"] CO2 has gone from 3 parts per 10,000 to 4 parts per 10,000 in the last 75 years or so. At the same time, the world mean temperature has gone up about 0.5 degrees. That is, basically, the whole argument in a nut shell. How much of that temperature change is the result of the CO2 increase. Personally, I'll start caring the moment the people yelling about it start *acting* like they care. <
