Hi, a couple of suggestions, which you may or may not have tried. 1. you do not say which browser you are using, have you tried another browser. 2. have you tried connecting directly to the router with an ethernet cable. Can you send/receive emails through your email program and router. Hope some of this may help.
@1 intriguing... will experiment. Thinking I

I'm a neophyte in all these OS /PC thingys. But I have always refused MS installing / updating drivers (except plug n play when installing new hardware). Perfer going to manu for drivers. Old fashioned I guess.

@Harpo 'Rebbot' is one variety of Terrestrial furry biped, with very large floppy ears, and large, powerful hind legs. Favored mode of locomotion is 'hopping.' The rebbot variety's distinctive feature that separates it from other terrestrial 'rabbits' is the presence of cybernetic structures. Note that these cyber-structures are not implants, but rather form in-utero. Rebbots are very rare, and almost never actually seen. They like sma

Ah, hanks, .. I have occasionally gotten the BSOD, when an ap (alright a PC game - busted I am) goes bananas because i hit a key that's not set up for that stage of the game. So, since I auto load as little as possible (keep start menu items 'off' as much as possible) during boot up, the BSOD I occasionally get isn't a start u conflict - so I may get a way with the cold rebbot. But if it were conflicts in start up items, I might have problems? Is good t

Blue Screen of Death? Doesn't a cold-hard reboot fix that? (Seriously).
Go to you Command Prompt in Admin mode, run "sfc /scannow" (without quotes). When finished reboot and try to see if it is fixed. Could be corrupt system files that this should fix.
Wouldn't the restore point fix this? Will do as you suggest when I go off line later tonight. Thank you :)

Hope my uber-PC power user friends can point me in right direction. Rig = PC, win 7, wireless anywhere ('Clear') internet connection. Last few weeks, when I access web, takes very long time, (PC is talking to web - but I am denied access to web). Figured it was MS update stuff. This can last for 2-3 minutes. Usually I can get access by disconnecting and reconnecting, 2 or 3 times. Earlier today, however, it would not let me access web, even when it was do

Probably a simple thing to do. Spent an hour looking 'in' browsers infos. Went to pale-moon site, checkjed FAQ, 'help' etc. How do I change the home page the pale moon browser brings up? Version is one just prior to most recent update. I hate the 'start me' page and wish to use a different home page. How do i do this? IS it even possible with pale-moon? Thank you all. :)
What about having one PC on Win10, networked with a win7 / 8 PC where your good stuff is. Use the Win 10 PC for games and other programs where having all the cores play together is good, and for accessing the web. When accessing the web, pull the cable connecting the other PC. Only attach the win 7/8 when off line, tom transfer data, etc. is a possible solution for privacy?
Does anyone really know what time it is? :) (Great song) Seriously, some current theorists are actually seriously contemplating that our shared existence is in someone Else's 'main frame.' (ala Matrix). If this is so, than time is a programmed variable, yes?
Its evil. But its big, and powerful, and ubiquitous. Oh, and richer than Donald. Whats a small fry to do?
