It wouold be nice if win XX 'looked' at your pc rig FIRST, before updating OS. And checked to make sure hardware / etc. was compatabe with proposed upgrade ... and blocked said upgrade if appropriate?

I'm with starkers, the restore point type feature to un-do the 'patch' needs to be there. It should be user friendly, not a process that requires user to be an 'under the hood' person.

I agree, anno2017 is a joy to experience. I do love civ4, Distant worlds universe, etc. Anno is a wonderful change of pace, requires thinking, but is so easy on the eyes and to play.

Forced updates are not in the best interest of the client side user. What if a w10 'update' (as many have stardockians have pointed out) makes another client side program unstable, or even trashes it? Being able to roll back a win10 update is essential, absolutely essential. Recently I saw a number of people using tablets of various types. So versatile. Organizer, photos, storing and reading texts, data retrieval, etc. Suggestions for a PC gal on what tablets to seriously consider. I would need access to the web via wi-fi but don't want a dedicated web access with its monthly data charges. Any suggestions? Experience, etc/ really appreciated.
