Let me start out with some disclaimers... 1. I know the game is getting to a late stage 2. I also know there is some upgrading possible with units BUT.. I think it would be really cool if I could create Knightly Orders or Mage Societies etc, and then promote my units and heros that have performed well into these orders and societies. If you look at fantasy literature and RPG literature you find all kinds of brotherhoods, secret societies

Two free games sounds really nice. Some may think I am off base here, but since you guys are taking the expansion to another level... what if we want to pay for it. Quite honestly, I prefer Stardocks mistakes far more than most other developers AAA successes. Tell you what, I bought War of Magic on day one and as such that makes me eligible for the free stuffs, but if Enchantress blows me away... I'll pay you anyway. That's the best way to

Don't get me wrong, I love tinkering, but all pc advantages go away next round of hardware, especially if they allow you to hook up your mouse/ keyboard of choice, and monitor and your off.
ummmmm...there already are keyboard and mouse options for the xbox series. And, pc ga
Quoting Tasunke, reply 23 as far as I can tell, Warhorses could still give extra HP and armor ... (after the engine is made better) ... in lieu of no longer being needed to "unlock" the new abilities. But yea, my vote is for getting it (the way you want it) the first time. We'll be selling the armor for horses as a separate $9.95 purchase so we can't really combine the horse AND the armor.<br

I would like to try my luck modding the name generator. From what I have found so far there doesn't seem to be a whole lot I can do. A little insight into how the game uses the ruleset would be helpful. I don't want to just plug in random values and see what happens. Unless there are more xml files I am missing, the functionality seems to be hardcoded in. Is it possible to even mod the name generator effectively? Thx.
Having one unit beamed up by Scotty would be already annoying enough, but having a WHOLE ARMY teleported, is something never seen in fantasy... They would definitely be really important to control and anything that adds more strategic complexity is good for me :) But, to keep that valid they can't be something we can build or cast they have to be ancient artifacts built by the titans or whatever placed randomly and limited in numb
Is this something that is moddable? I like random, so I am not complaining, but it would be cool if we had some kind of ability to control the range. A slider would be nice [close]...[not so close]...[far]. If its possible I would mod it in myself. Because, sometimes I feel like a quick game so i choose tiny land, and sometimes I feel like a long game so I choose medium or large land, but sometimes when I choose large land expecting a long gam
I am not really sure what feel they are going for with the movement. There are ways to speed up your troops though boots, cloaks... still very limited. Would be nice to have a forced march ability that could be used occasionally.. I am also not a big fan of the teleport ... I think it should scale with the number of units transfered. 1 guy cheap, many guys maybe too expensive to cast.
yeah, I am noticing the same thing ... I literally had a string of enemy cities blocking me into a peninsula one right after the other barely outside limit of too close to build. They seem to be clustering.
Any game that lets you build something on this scale : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kn2-d5a3r94&feature=player_embedded deserves every penny it gets. unreal... lol
Great post, Frogboy. Although I am kind of new to your forums, I have been around as one of your customers for a while. I remember back in the day when I first learned you guys existed.. you had just released the first GalCiv. I was a super big fan of the Moo series and I was really exited that someone else had stepped up to carry the 4x Space Empire genre forward from there. You guys did a great job on GalCiv and it's sequels, and its one of the best
Love the graphics ..love the full camera control.
I really love how the special tiles change up the game and increase the replayability dramatically. Being able to upgrade any tile ..well quite frankly, would be a boring snoozefest of uncomprehendable magnitude. With each game comes different stategic decisions based on the resources at hand and nearby you or, more interestingly, nearby your enemies or, more interestingly still, nearby your friends.

We're going to hold off on further balance to magic costs until v1.1 since it does make things seem ridiculously expensive. As an alternative you could scale the cost of the teleport by t

Thanks for finally making a game that might allow me to, once and for all, delete DosBox from my computer and zip up my old copy of MoM on my backup drive forever.
You said it. Elemental definitely has that 'something special' feel, even with all its problems. And just for the record, I
Yes, I like this idea!

That is absolutely unBEARable...
You know what, it might seem rough to have teleport at 15mana, BUT it actually improved my gameplay experience. Before, I didnt worry about defending my empire as all I had to do was port in with my Sov's army and obliterate anything that dared to come within sight range of my cities. Now, I actually have to think about garrisoning my cities, and making patrols that can pick up incoming enemy armies. This forced me to rethink my troop design and actually create cost effectiv
Aaarrrrr me hardies, tis a fine fine bit o' treasure we ave' in this ere' piece o' news. Huzzah!
So ... Does anyone know what is in this sunday patch?
Definitely agree. I havent enjoyed a game as much as Elemental nor played one as much in years. Even with it's flaws this game keeps me coming back to play it again and again.
