Why limit it to Aether?
Because that's the only place the Luminoth lived. The mod will (hopefully) reenact their war with the Ing.
What is that thing on his hand, anyway?
Hmmm! This is fascenating stuff! Looks like everything I need is in...... once Metroid: Empires is up and running for GC2 I might decide to make up a little something called Aether Wars also in the Metroid universe (those of you who care about the series will probably be able to guess as to the mod's setting)...... Elemental seems the perfect place to do that!
Interesting movie, but it's so quiet I can't hear what Brad's saying...
I personally think it's #1: that their unnatural status blocks them off from life magic. That, and the fact that just because it looks uninhabitable to us doesn't mean that they don't find it pleasant...

They probably would drag the city down if you tried to overextend your centralized resources to try and control too much territory (A crude analogy would be that if you hooked too many city blocks up to a power station and blew out the grid) but perhaps "collapse under its own weight" was a bad choice of words..... buildings standing empty and falling into disreapir is a better way of putting it. The unfeasibility comes from spending a butt-load of production to build your pretty new
Interesting stuff. Is the Hiergamenon intended for a Civilopedia-style role? And is there any chance of people somehow gaining access to a printed copy? I'd value it at a little over 20$ American, but I'm increadibly stingy.......
Hmmmmmm....... Is that a Metroid logo of some kind under your name?(New SD fellow, not Shurdus).......... I can smell 'em out pretty well....... The problem with the system now is that since it's tied to levels (and there are only five of those) the X=Y breaks down with relative ease once you get to a certain point, at which time it becomes X=0,=0,=0,=0,=0. In short, you wind up hitting the cielling with no place else to go. Any system can be gamed, but somethung like this is going to
Hex, square, I really don't care (hey, that rhymes...)....... from a purely aesthetic standpoint I always assosciate hexes with a sci-fi setting and squares with historical...... but I understand there are also mathematical arguments for both...... in the end it's likely academic as we've gone pretty far to have to change everything up.......
