I actually want hordes of small, weak "cannon fodder" beasts, as well as the big guys, for one simple reason: I want "beast master" to be a valid platystyle in its own right. No powerful cities or great heroes, but a giant army of wild boars (and yes, that IS with an O, not an E [e digicons]:P[/e] . Sorry, Luckmann....)

Good idea. I wish we would see a few screenies of the spellbook screens themselves: it would take minimal effort on the devs part, but we would get a TON of info.

I hope the quests are not as simple as "kill X" or "find Y. If you survive to make it out, it's yours". I want to see much more varied objectives and sequences.

I would like to see dungeons that: Are 3D (not FPS or anything, but no streight-up birds-eye views either) Have some kind of "theme" i.e. ice, lava, water, etc. Have enemies that also are grouped by "theme": a dungeon with all undead, a dungeon with all bugs, and so on. Aren't all just underground, have some mountain peaks, sky cities, and Atlantises thrown in as well. Contain numerous interactable objects, not just walls and enemie

I think it will be a "dungeon crawl", which opens up an interesting option: the TB system will thus have to support terrein variance (the alternitive: "Look alive, men: you must now pass through the dreaded Flat, Empty Square Of Moria! Once and for all, how many elements are there? Will there be some sort of an integrated modelling system? Will heroes and channelers be able to do spell research on their own (sans buildings)? If so, will they be able to increase their research ability? If so, how?

Unless by "native" you mean white, which, unfortunately, is not actually native. Ethnicity is a VERY subjective thing, but the majority of Americans are actually European in ancestry (although that will soon change).

Actually, I think "little forests" ared the way to go here: the world has been scorched to within an inch of its life. Surviving outside of the "channeler zone" is tough. Therefore, you would get areas of scraggly, unhealthy trees, that in my opinion fit the exact description of a "little forest"

I'm a mouse guy myself: my laptop's num pad is actually part of the main keyboard, and layed out in a totally counterintuitive fasion. It's nearly impossible to use, and since I use cheats a lot, I don't want to accidentally wipe out a few minor races while trying to build a starbase.

Yeah, the two are actually quite different: terrein types, by my understanding, have little to do with any part of the graphics engine (aside from the obvious look of the square itself): units and generally buildings too look the same on ice, sand, grass, etc. The only part of this that could be involved with material physics is if the terraforming was governed by realistic geological principals, which I think would make it a bit less fun.
