Probably going to shoot for either a quite July 4th release (American independance day, for those of you who don't know), since the babbling will be less w/ people away from their computers....... either that, or July 31st......

Thank you. Of course, salutes don't usually appear under your member number, but I'll take what I can get.... In any event, is it possible to have a "fill in the blank" system where people can number them as opposed to clicking boxes? Might ease up the strain a little.
Ooooh..... cool. [e digicons]:dur:[/e]
Same here. I wonder if there will be supplemental art released later that does not appear in the vanilla game itself?
Boogie's post gave me the impression that the thing will automatically remove details as the zoom goes away. Even if it doesn't, just shrinking the image then blowing it back up again will have much the same effect.
Actually, whay Kata is describing sounds like an interesting way to play the game.... but the info from Brad about it being toggled by frame-rate is exactly what I wanted to hear.
I'm talking individual men. I had not seen these posts, and while I thought we would be getting more, I only had concrete proof of thirty or so, hence the "at least".
I mean, will I be able to decrease the amount of LoDing if I have a faster computer and larger, higher-res monitor, or even turn it off entirely.
So not much hope for seeing large and grand armies duke it out under your control?
Actually, considering the screenshots, it looks like (just guestimating here, mind you) we will have armies of at LEAST 30 units or so, if you decide to go the cannon fodder route.
That building seems somehow familiar, but I can't quite place it....
I wonder if we will be ablt to turn this OFF. I have a fairly high-end system, and while I understand that a lot of people will want to make use of this, I want to preserve as many details as possible: I'm used to watching things in "high-def".
Well, I don't particularly care, as long as there is some sort of a functional pause system. Otherwise, I would find it quite unplayable.
I suppose that summons will appear whether the devs include them or not, do it's just a matter of patience. However, to save time and probably some work for myself, I would like to see limited summoning ability in the game.... parhaps as a rush-build option.
Same here. I think that it is something like chess: you move a thing, then the other guy moves a thing, then you go again, etc.
Well, I wouldn't say that is entirely true: Brad had definatively said that there will be tactical combat and that it will not be real-time, which only leaves T-B and S-T. Other than that, though, it's still up in the air.
The only way this would run into a problem is if you wanted real world values for everything which would require a near infinite number of variables.
Exactly. And, again, you are referring to graphical physics, as opposed to engine physics.
I think that the game's engine should definately support that sort of thing, even if the #s don't work out to create those sorts of conditions in a regular game: it may not be historically accurate, but someone will undoubtebly play with the unit costs to make it work.
I said "almost". Although actually, only 26% of his posted avatars feature some sort of scantily-clad female. I do not, however, have any data on his personal ones, as there is no "avatar history".
As do they (almost) all..... [e digicons][/e]
Because that would violate the Troll Code: Never speak intelligebly. Never be insightful. Never elaborate on a statement. Have an unintelligibe nickname. Do not use an avatar (I have only seen one troll ever with an avatar).
Brought back faaaaaar too many memories of those Scantron tests where I alsways transposed questions 5 and 6.....
Obvious troll is obvious.
But amusing troll is amusing.... the first time. Now, it's getting old.
I don't really understand why you are so afraid of pseudo-trolls:even when the do the "haha fooled ya" dance, they still look like idiots. I find it rather funny.
Here we have concrete proof why cocaine should NOT be legalized.
The problem is, the sort of physics he is talking about is actually an integeral part of how the game handles spells and buildings: it is actually a part of the game engine itself, and therefore there is no way to turn it on or off without destroying the way the game works.
