Ohh what's this? A head count? Can someone link me to some information? I'm not american but I would like to read some about it.
The US census contains a lot of questions regarding ethnicity and stuff, because we make a big deal out of that in the States. The population statistics are primerily used to decide how many representatives each state gets in the House of Representatives (which is controlled by population) as well as the Electoral College we use in place of a

Ohhh, I see. I was thinki9ng of something like an election of some kind..... that work really well.

This information is used for statistical analysis. The federal government (this is NOT the "Fed", that is only a finincial control division) is the only organization with the logistical capabilities to collect it with any accuracy. And last time I checked, if you don't want to answer, you can always just put down jibberish (not that I am encouraging this practice, mind you). The only one that seems odd is the first: as you said, the IRS already HAS that data..... although if you are exceeding

Although one wonders why Optimus didn't KEEP Jetfire's parts..... they definately made him stronger, and Jetfire certainly wasn't going to want them back anytime soon..... although I suppose this could just be another incidence of my missing Transformers 101. It does, however, make perfect sense to me that it would take much more "juice" to revive Optimus (who IS, after all, a Prime) than it would to revive a very powerful but essentially "common" bot like Megatron. And no, I

/troll, the problem with Winter's "contest" is that tyhe bear nuts would all just put in "bear", while we would all go for different creatures. I think we need to do a "primary", possibly using the PABC thread....
scoutdog, thats not a question...
Allow me to rephrase: Do I not care about the bear cavalry, or what?

ETHICS: I see the undeads summoned by "good" channelers as being gohstly or spectral in nature, and primerily defensive (hard to damage, but don't really DO much damage). Evil undeads would take physical form, and while they have more attack, they are esier to kill.
Now if we could just get Mythbusters a blackmarket Soviet nuke or an EMP bomb, they could start testing this stuff for us.
Actually, they (the military) have stationary devices that can generate a local field for testing hardened gear.... and I imagine it would be possible for someone with a few large industrial magnets and a lot of metal to actually build one on their own...

Maybe they should "go rogue" and stop being controlled by you if you don't pay their upkeep, as opposed to just up and (re)dying.

Well, the spark plugs are inside of basically a solid block of metal, and EMPs don't do much to batteries themselves... I'd be more worried about an arc off of the gas tank setting something on fire, but even that's HIGHLY unlikly.
And like others have pointed out, cars *might* be safe from EMP's because they are metal, so the motors in them might not have been affected. Likewise, the generators could have been underground, and also protected.
Ummmmmm...... I don't really know how to say this w/o sounding like a jerk, but most cars use internal-combustion engines, which are not electrically based.......

I'm not sure about the last part: seems like a lot of people would still be "forced" to do them.

I have a habit of ignoring a lot of the hired bodies, but the frmale andreoid's tail is a bit odd in that it appears to be attached UNDER her dress. This would make the dress seem to be "real", and not a part of the robot. Yet she transforms to robot form and back, and the dress is still intact. I realise that there are a lot of other easy-to-find descrepencies, but where's the fun in that?

I personally have never seen a water pump, but as far as I know there are few computer controls, and an on-site engineer could easily jury-rig the thing. I don't know if the primery motive power is electical or mechanical, or if the stations have their own generators, however.
One other tidbit. If we do not change our energy habits within ten years the planet will eventualy heat up to hotter than it has ever been while multicelullar life existed, And at that point we literaly have no clue what will happen.
Well, we can guess, as long as we know the temperature: if it is below about 250 F, we would be able to survive with extreme effort, and if it is below, say 120 degrees, large-scale urbanization miiiiiiight still be possible. But we would b

You are forgetting the large amount of dev time needed to impliment something like this: and tose guys don't work cheap! The code is now the ONLY thing that can be manipulated. That means that tose of us (myself included) who don't have the skill to actually write physics code but know our way around a text-based datafile are stuck. And anyone who can mess with the physics like that would most likely be able to create new standard algorythms anyway. True, but so doe
I just don't see how you think it will affect game-play. If I have a 10 tile map 5 of which have forest on them and I set one forest tile on fire. Using physics based calculation the fire would spread to other tiles adjacent to the one that has been set on fire. The path fire takes is very predictable and linear in nature. It couldn't jump over a tile unless a programmer took the time to create such an effect. Even if you expanded this to 1000 forest tiles and set the center one on fir

I'm 15, and I used to have a few models when I was younger, but I never really got into it. I decided to do my nitpicking and my critiqueing in the same post, and using the same "-" mark, but they are different. I don't mind nits, and they are not "things to hate": they're just there. Plus a lot of the negatives were less negative than the positives were positive, if you get what I am saying: for exaple, the parents MORE than compensated for the loose ends, the politics, AND the girl'
