I'm open to that possibility that god created evolution and the earth, that he/she set the whole thing spinning so to speak. But there's just no evidence for it.

Hey, it wouldn't be a proper forum unless people tore every detail to shreds and weighed every imaginable combination of them - before the game was even available in beta.

Yes, I plan to bring ExpandedFactions over to FE. The details of what each race is good at will have to be ironed out once I get a look at the xml. But the goal will be the same - introduce high fantasy races to the game. Although I'm glad to hear that Derek has envisioned a more fantasy-filled game than E:wom, by the sounds of it.
A player could build exactly the same unit if they wanted. I must admit as a designer I was really tempted to keep some special tweaks to myself to make these guys really unique. But at the end of the day I think the game is better if all the tools are in the players hands. If you want army swarm type Magnar units for Yithril (or for your custom faction), you can make them. If you want to have every unique un

I think it's safe to say at this point we are ALL worried about AI. But, I think you are wrong to worry about how the AI will be judged from a beta. Imho, anyone who judges a game based on a beta isn't worth listening to. My point is this: we all worry about the AI, but what really matters is the AI at release, not AI at beta.

Almost certainly overheating. Games use very different resources, so just because you can run one on high settings is no guarantee you can run something else on low settings. When you're dealing with games with heavy graphics, a card can rise 5-10 degrees celsius in a few seconds, and they will cool almost as quickly after the computer shuts down. It is unlikely that just feeling the computer will give you an accurate sense of the temperatures involved. When did you last clear you

I agree with this request, while I enjoy those threads I'd rather see posts about elemental when I visit this page. Rather than having relevant things "one click away", we should have the off-topic threads "one click away". Another short term solution would be to just increase the number of recent threads from the main page from 10 to 30 or so.

Well, then if you want to answer why evolution happened, I can do that very easily, as I did above. The physical properties of this reality caused it to happen. Either through exogenous factors like radiation, or through the life's own inability to maintain itself.

banned for thinking he didn't have the money, when in fact he had the money but chose not to throw it in someone's face because that would lead to a lawsuit and him losing the money immediately.

I don't understand the difference in asking how evolution happens, and asking why it happens. Can you explain, please? Because to me, those questions are the same. But clearly, you are putting some semantic weight on the words that I am not understanding. Now, if we were to ask "how did mr X die" and "why did mr X die", that's something I can understand. He died from a blow to the head. Why? He probably fell. But if you apply the same logic to evolution,

No one seems interested in rebutting so take that for whatever it is worth, hahaha.
In actuality, intelligent design is somewhat of a mental trap. It can really mean two different things; 1) We perceive something to be intelligently designed and 2) Something was intelligently designed by an intelligent designer
>the tactical map shows surrounding tiles I approve. It looks like one strategic tile is five strategic tiles, which means that when you get seiges working, whether that's in FE or a further expansion, the natural setup will be for buildings that take a quarter of a map tile to take up one tactical square, and those that take a whole map square to take nine map squares, leaving alleys to fight and move in. Walls of course would be

The same as any mmo if you're looking to quit. Find the unsubscribe button, click it. If you need some mental motivation, set a goal, burn out trying to reach it, then quit because there's nothing else worth your time in the game. Or you could play SWTOR, a released game, now. And play FE when it gets released in a few months, maybe more.
