No, that's your misinterpretation. Reliable is not the same as perfect. I believe Frogboy's number is reliable, but not perfect. And either way, Frogboy and his company has to make a decision. His best bet is always to base his decisions on the most reliable information.

More reliable than anything you or anyone else has put forth, by a thousand miles. Frogboy's numbers may not be perfect, but they're good enough to base decisions on until a better number comes along.

@srw46 Frogboy is very specific when he explains the MP in E:wom
Fewer than 1% of the WOM user base attempted multiplayer. I don't mean played a game. I mean simply went to the MP lobby (it adds an active flag to your SD account if you simply went to the main MP screen).
That's your method right there.
Unless you provide me some empirical evidence to substantiate your claims then all you've done is post an assertion and call me a 'liar'.
Since you posted none, I didn't see a reason to. But, here's one example: only 23% of those who bought Demigod even TRIED to play multiplayer.

If I may be a bit more constructive, I can understand the disappointment even though I don't share it. So, how about you folks that deeply care for multiplayer start a petition somewhere, and post a link on these forums? Or how about SD themselves put one up somewhere. Really, anything to give a more concrete number that shows how many actually think the game depends on multiplayer support.
I sincerely do not understand where the fallacy that MP is not in demand or important has birthed from other than a few empty vessels in the community who declare loudly, selfishly and repeatedly that *they* aren't interested but I assure you Stardock that your demographic is. It is perfectly possible to discuss recent news without waiting for an investigation that will probably take months. But if it helps ease your mind, I will think of him as "very nearly absolutely a criminal" instead of "a criminal".

I prefer fewer improvements... if you want to spend time coming up with 1000 of anything, make it items, champions or monsters or some other content that is more dynamic towards the gameplay. With 1000 improvements, I'll find the 10 good and build them every time.

There's no real ambiguity, is there?
There will be NO multiplayer .The release game won’t have it either.
Ps. Your reasons for playing FE are your own, and not necessarily shared by everyone or anyone.

I'm glad you're not wasting resources on MP. No offense to anyone, but you're in a vocal minority if you keep asking for it. True MP support should have been in the game from the ground up to cover everything in the game, but it wasn't. Not having tactical battles is just one of the things missing. Quests and events, mods and custom sovereigns, local hosting on our own servers. To mention a few. No mods in the beta? [e digicons]X([/e] Although... that&#

Screw microsoft for not supplying recovery disks. Screw Comet for taking matters into their own hands. Either way, two wrongs don't make a right, especially since M$ is only "wrong" in the ethical sense, not the legal. Comet, on the other hand... they fucked up big time.

E:wom betas required internet connection for an up-to-date data blob. It may be the same here. The non-beta E:wom never required it.

In the old E:wom forum we used a series of tags on our posts to tell the user what the status was of the mods. The idea was that the user should be able to tell, at a glance, what was inside the thread. It was also meant to simplify searching for the modder - for example, he could search for the tag eINFO and find all the various pieces of information. The system was detailed by Gazz_ here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/394868 [

I'm almost certain it will appear there. It would be stupid NOT to make it dynamic, because they'd have to repeat every bit of information then instead of just posting it once.

I doubt apple would let steam into their app domain. They've already got itunes, and they're getting 30% from that. Why let steam have a piece of the cake? Not to mention it would mean giving up quality control, which apple fiercely hangs on to (for good and bad).
