I think one big change is that you're no longer up against other trained faction units. You'll almost exclusively face off against special monsters which means you'll need to adapt to their specializations and spells. That said, combat feels more or less the same as in FE:LH so far.
Ups, yeah, it's named hand of fate, not hands.
Hand of Fate is a roguelike with a new twist on world generation. I got about 22 hours of fun gameplay out of it, which means I recommend it for its current price of $20. Gameplay consists of strategic and tactical layer. On strategic layer you move your piece to new encounters around a very basic map (just a bunch of cards on a table). Each dungeon level has an entry point and an exit. Deeper levels are not just a stra
If someone was able to crack open the savegame file it seems like this could be modded in
What is being done to boost city-trained units? In beta 1 they're worthless meatbags and in the dev snapshot I see no improvement.
I didn't say it was abandoned, I said it was " abandoned before it was feature-complete". And what difference does it say if he admits to it publicly before moving on or not? Not including originally planned features is a great reason not to buy the next game before what you want is in. Normally you should be cautious, but in this case it's straight up a dev that broke his commitments so you just shouldn't buy it until the time is right.
I would like their cities looking differently, but units and such would be too much effort.
StarDrive was abandoned before it was feature-complete. If anyone is looking at buying this, I strongly suggest waiting until the features you want are in the game. That said, owners of StarDrive will be able to buy StarDrive 2 for 33% off. And the features that did make it into StarDrive made it a hell of a fun experience, in my opinion. I don't hesitate to recommend it even today. Just don't believe what the dev says about StarDrive 2, wait until it's in game.
Also a lot of the champion traits need to be rewritten to be more specific. If something deals massive damage, I want to know how much damage. If something slows someone, I want to know how much it slows someone.
There are two parts to this post. First, when I'm hovering over an enemy or friendly in combat I want to see a tooltip with what traits and magical effects are applied to the unit. This should appear when I'm trying to select a target to attack. Currently, there is a way to make it appear by hovering over the unit action list. This makes no sense, I'm not going to drudge through that list to find my target. This toolt
If it means you won't spoil anything else, then imagine that I answered yes to those questions. Yeah, ok, I'll admit it, I'm overreacting. Now please don't do it again.
Thanks for the heads up!
1) Check out the undead faction in Children of Storm, they have a convert spell like that. 2) Changing models isn't possible.
I like where you're going with the minor factions. I wish I could talk to the cities, right now I can only talk to their units. I also wish there was more of a ramp-up in quest difficulty from them. I met Pariden and they immediately tasked me with reshaping some legendary crown from three pieces of legendary something found only in the legendary depths of legendary itself. They should definitely start out smaller - deliver 10 iron ore ingredients, give us a pioneer unit and so on. <
@Timmaigh except now I know there's a black hole involved, I can surmise that it's going to be related to travel and maybe even time travel. Now I'm not just watching a movie about interstellar travel, now I'm watching a movie about interstellar travel which is going to have a black hole involved. A little bit of wonder and mystery is lost, and for what? Because you can't think up an actually decent title? Cauldyth has a good suggestion, or just a general thread about the
Then again, there is very little point to putting any information about a movie's content in the title to a thread about it, especially before it's been released. That is, other than to ruin it for those of us who wish to go into the theater without knowing half the bits and pieces about it.
*dons helmet of Nitpicking* That's a nice spoiler you got there in your title.
How about despondency? Apathy? Panic?
Very good point, Dr Franknfurter, but I think I need to explain what I meant a bit more. Thematically, I am in favour of having increasingly rare, artifact-level items craftable. But my issue with the proposed system is that of increasing marginal return from ingredients, ie gameplay mechanics. The return from a few ingredients grow the stronger the item is to begin with because of multipliers from champions and abilities. Two red gems which give me +4 fire damage is more beneficial than one
I like X ingredients to give Y bonus, but if you stack all this [quote] A recipe for a sword might require some iron ore and oils to create. If player has those items then they can select the sword to craft Then, based on their CRAFTING SKILL level (which ranges from 1 to 3 based on the sovereign they chose) they enchant it. The first level of enchantment is based on what magic books you selec
It's Civ5 without the DLC which made it good. The "planet is alive" feeling you got in Alpha Centauri is completely gone. Graphics are surprisingly ok. It just doesn't have any feel to it, it's just a bunch of buttons I press to see the next thing go +1 and then it ends.
I'd rather the sorcerer king be set in stone from the start, scaleable in difficulty but not changeable characteristics. There ought to be a weakness I can work towards, or even create through quests. If he's just going to adopt to whatever strategy I choose what's the point of choosing a strategy?
