you're in the wrong place. You won't find any information on Elemental around here. The people above all lie, don't listen to them. They certainly can't point you in the right direction.

I'm really curious to know about what you are talking Wintersong. Is there any seriousness in that statement? I would love a game like that (I'd want to make it a platformer, where you got stronger by eating other trolls. You'd run around bizzar technology related landscapes as you transverse the internet super highway)
I thought we might be talking about Basquash for a moment. I'm not sure why. (except in that show chicks dig giant robots... who also play basket ball)
Apparently Ubisoft also had some control of the license at one point, but they were willing to give it up. Atari was the only one that wouldn't give up their micropose rights. last two atari games I played were "Enter the matrix" and "transformers" (not the one based on the movie) and they were ok and AWESOME respectivly (transformers was obviously kinda low budget, but the level design was solid and very pretty. it had plenty of secrets and power ups. The rag-
I signed it a long time ago (how did I miss this post)

It always has. Historians can tell who traded with whom entirly based on influences of culture. If caravans travel between different nations, they should carry bits of influence with them.
I've played GC2 for years now and those smooth circles are exactly how influence (culture) spreads in that game until it begins overlapping with another major civ's inflence. That's the only time you start seeing 'natural-looking' culture borders in GC2.
it makes sense in GC2. I imagine those rings represent radio waves or something similar extending out from their sources (the ships obviously
It's really worth remembering that Brad's been blunt about the first full beta 'not being fun' and the alpha will be an even more primitive build.
At this point, I don't care about "fun" I just want to sink my teeth into it. Once I get my fingers on a functioning copy of anything Elemental, my ability to discuss its features will be vastly improved.
Well, I call it "pseudo" because it isn't a real confirmation. If we knew what it was, I would not have through "pseudo" on there. if its from culture, I'd argue that culture doesn't spread in such clean circles. I'd be curious to see how borders worked like that.
I know. I just was expecting a cheer from you about it. though, you didn't actually label your bear luckmann
lottery is pretty rough. But I guess its fair against those karma whores swinging 50+ karma >_> (looks other way)

From what I understand, the reason the quote buttons don't work in chrome is because chrome doesn't provide information as to what you're doing or what you've highlighted. So when you highlight text, script running on the web-page can't tell so it treats it as if you had no text highlighted.
when you say command line, are you talking about an in-game interface (press ~ to open, for example) or are you talking about something like an external command line such as a dos-prompt. Remember, we are talking about Python here, I'm sure you'll have a text interface into which you can directly type code, but correct me if my vocab is wrong, in Python's case I believe it is called a "command shell" not a command line. I really don't understand why you'd want every

I can see in some games when units "die" they don't disappear right away. If they disappear, they are totally dead, otherwise they would have a chance to recover. I really like Gabberjooij idea of field-hospitals. Field surgons would be important in such a case.
Oh, I forgot to mention. We have psudo-confirmation on what appears to be sphere of influence. Look at the screenshots https://www.elementalgame.com/Screenshots/Empire_Fire_Shard_1280.jpg Click the link for the official example you can see in the mini-map at the bottom, there are obvious color rings to show some sort of limit. It also looks like there are
I must say though, wintersong, I hardly recognize you with the demigod avatar. Everytime I see it I'm like "who is this person, oh its Wintersong" because I'm so used to your older avatar(s)

I like how Utah (my understanding to be the most strict in terms of porn laws in relation to all other US states) is the one being blamed here. I also like how it appears Jack is blaming Utah for the increase of online porn (which is of course what will happen if you can't buy it in stores)
are we talking months of real time? thats pretty rare. I assume this applies more to single player, since multiplayer could just have whatever units modded in right? are we to see these kind of rare "things" in the beta?
no, you'll see that the post by boogie bac is May 18th, and the june beta was veto'd by frogboy the next day. It is found in the "Getting back to Elemental" Dev Journal
