Landisaurus uses: Life magic + Web-magic to cast: mainly because this was from eons ago when there were less people on this forum (and some different people) so I'm curious if any newer members of the forum have an opinion.

For those that have been here a long time, you may remember my pitching for having multiple pre-saved spell books. ( example , and again ) in my previous posts, I talked about having pre-sets including "weak magic" (having only the basic low level spells, or making the strong spells especially difficult/rare to recieve), "Strong Magic" (having easy access to many very powerful spe
well, this game is supposedly a bit more light on the fantastic creatures than say, Heroes of Might and magic. So it may be reasonable to say that tactical combat should be more of a second thought. However, I too am pro-tactical, since I generally enjoy it. I wouldn't mind

I personally am on for either 4 or 6 elements, just because 5 seems unbalanced (there is nothing to balance 'life', so it seems it covers more ground than the 4 primary elements)

As in, miniature black hole kind of thing.
the cloth map could get a scortch mark (like a burn through to the table) and the 3D map could have same sexy looking black hole or bottomless pit (I perfer something with particle effects, but I'd take a great pit)

Age of Empires, Total war, HoMM, warhammer, warcraft, and pretty much every other fantasy game that comes to mind has at least 1 mounted unit/character that has a different mount from the standard mount [horse]. The only exception I can find being Final Fantasy, but they don't use horses at all. They use a series-specific bird, and often in is a variable bas

though the meandering is pretty repeditive and unrealistic looking. My theory is they plan to have it meander and they haven't gotten that entirely working just right. But the point does stand that roads are not going to be perfectly straight.

Master of Magic is the 'spiritual predecessor' of Elemental, and if corporate IP/marketing crapola hadn't ensued, the game might even have officially been Master of Magic 2. I mean the spell (I hope it's named that), not what is it. It's been discussed so much here, it took me forever to realize you might think I didn't know about it. yeah... they really can't be compared. 1st off, metroid games have yet to be divided into 'eras' the way star trek has. There isn't enough lore behind it to do so (we don't have time frames between games the way we do between star trek episodes) And 2ndly, why the heck would you choose metroid prime 2 echoes. That is probebly the least like other metroid games.

It could just show the area under which that city has influence. Its what keeps that place nice and green. So I'm waiting to see what the alpha turns to have. I agree the toll option is pretty cool. Like allow all trade through your country, but at a price.

running out of research in MoM always meant to me it was time pull the research slider to min and lock it. I like civilization's "future tech" idea, where there is just a generic tech at the end that can be researched over and over again with stacking bonuses. In this I'd imagine it to be something like "future war tech" "future channeling tech" and "future economy tech" giving bonuses to weapons/damage, mana usage/perturn, and money production respectivly.

well, I like the community and games more than impulse itself. But I suspect kend0 is right, it gets better all the time. I personally think your selection of 6 games is wonderful. It is not far off from the 6 games I've purchased from Impulse. (replace titan quest, because I already own that, with magesty. Or just add magesty, because I don't count sins+entrenchment as 2 games)

yeah, but I'm not sure I'd really trust my laptop to play Gal Civ 2 >_> and I'd like to see if it can run this. The map also seems more simple graphically than Gal Civ 2, and the zoomed in graphics look like much steeper requirements. I'm just curious where about it is going to end up. (I forsee a very large gap between 'min' and 'recommended' settings)
