seems the karma button responds with winnie the pooh telling me I'm not able to give karma. I wanted to bring it up, since more than one person apparently has it (I know wintersong and scoutdog mentioned it). (I am using the newest version of Google Chrome as my browser)
Nice catch there, psy. I'd give you karma, but the button isn't working....
it does for me. (though the "quote" button doesn't) So I'll give it to him for ya' > correction: no it doesn't... huh I always wondered how a line like that would be translated if we had changed to a not-base 10 counting system. (like if a super powerful leader had the 6-finger gene, which is a domina
probably would've been on time if they hadn't pulled Elemental people for DemiGod work... I thought the late June alpha release was adjusted for the Demigog delay...
it was. Then adjusted to July because they want to "polish" the alpha for some reason.
The latin word is not relevant.
Then why did you bring it up? anyway, I'm not argueing the point anymore. I feel that the name is missleading and I think the scientific community should reconsider same of the names we apply to some ecosystems. (I got pluto removed as a planet by having a similar opinion. The universe curves to my demands if I remain by them I say)
That would be cool, but I for one would prefer a h
I think the idea behind achievements is that they take the devs almost no time to add (compared to any other feature), and the people who like achievements like achievements. Peaplo who don't like achievements are not going to have their normal gameplay hurt, so there isn't really a sacrifice to add it. And failing to have achievements could get you knocked down a fraction of a point from some reviewers. For something so easy to put in, there is no sense in skipping it.</p
then my second guess is the 8th of July at 1 pm eastern time.
oh those horses! (sorry, I don't know where my mind is) don't forget worves, spiders, and... bears? how exactly DID all those survive? I kinda assumed the "world of Elemental" was just something like alternate reality earth considering the life-forms found on it. The cataclysm would have messed up the plates creating new continents. New creatures such as the "yeti" or whatever could be explained as a result of the cataclysm as well, the combinat
They are not misnamed 'deserts.' The word desert comes from the latin for "abandoned place" and up until recently (last century or so) did not have the ubiquitous connotation of hot, sandy places. The word was used to just mean an unpopulated area
that is exactly my point. It isn't unpopulated or abandoned. A "desert" able to support cactus has to be VERY populated, and in the case of the desert that holds saguaro, more populated
tundras like antartica are totally called deserts. If you search "cold desert" its one of the 1st places that comes up. they are misnamed "deserts" because the term suggests that it is "desert" and the term "desertification" describes when land is being converted into the stereotypical sandy-dune type places. So like the Arizona deserts suffer from "desertification". Yes there is a definition of "desert" that fits Arizona... that is why its call
I want a bunch of ghostly phantom warriors that carry spears with bright blue highlights but still mostly transparent.
a cavern of cactus... huh, that is interesting idea. on the terms of "magic cactus" that can grow without its required supporting plants, saguaro do grow to be crazy tall. There is at least one that grew over 13 meters tall (it was about 45 feet tall) and has lived over 200 years or something like that. And it isn't even magically enhanced (at least not that I'm aware) O.o So a magically enhanced one could be... over 25 mete
I have to agree with Frogboy (of course, I'm on the other side of the fence too) the screenshots and videos you've given us so far don't seem to have lighting and shadows that complete. I've been staring at the screenshots in the "media" section for months wondering when they'd be replaced with a not alpha build. BoogieBac: you realize that if Frogboy doesn't make a Dev journal entry showing them off, all we do is star at pictures like this: <img src
you know what... I thought I clicked on "last page" of achievements, but I somehow accidently tabbed over to this page, so I thought that was the last page of the achievements thread. I only read from like Luckmann down so my brain didn't question "off topic" discussion because luckmann said he was going off topic. But then you bolded the cheats question was like "Why did he bold that?"
what do cheats have to do with achievements? That reminds me. Demigod had an "allow cheats" in the beta... whatever happen to that button?
well, I agree you can use the "magic plants" excuse... (though, for space plants in supreme commander I want to know how african unbrella trees evolved to inhabit the same landscape as saguaro forests) Well, if those Zorkon the wise's immortal saguaros, that would at least mean he put them there. Which would be actually really cool, because it means Zorkon the wise decided he was channeling some obscure landscape features. Being that it was the center of what appea
Also, I see something that should be fixed that if left unchecked might go un-fixed. shading and texture issues I expect to be fixed, since the game is still in early alpha stages. But issue is more subtle and less likely to be spotted by somebody who does not know to look for it. I know this is a bit nit-picky, but it has been bothering me for a couple of weeks. (it bothers me in supreme commander too, which has a similar problem) Anyway, my fee
Your best solution would be to dual bot XP. I wish MS people could just stop supporting all the crap out there instead of having to use their time building fixes for those things (because if a game gets messed because of multithreading, sorry, it's the game fault, like old games that go crazy fast because they didn't control right the CPU speed).
Its the same in XP. I'm asking if they changed something in Win7 to make it different from XP. runni
So, some games don't know how to deal with multi-threading and do some crazy stuff. Stuff includes: animating twice as fast as it should, taking any input command twice (1 click = 2 clicks), or just locking up and crashing. Back in the day, you had to start the program, get open task manager (which was a pain if said game did other crazy stuff when you minimized it), and set core affinity to use only one CPU. So... now windows 7 is out, and do we have
updated screenshots? I guess I should compare to the originals. The bottom two look pretty much the same. (I thought we were supposed to ignore that battle scene because of the grid O.o )
looks like I should get all my trolling done today
What... is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
I hope you mean European Swallow, because there are like 40 different species of African swallow. "Although a definitive answer would of course require further measurements, published species-wide averages of wing length and body mass, initial Strouhal estimates based on those averages and cross-species comparisons, the Lund wind tunnel study of birds flying at a range of speeds, and r
the quote button hasn't worked for me in a while either, but I assumed it was some update conflicting with google chrome. I have not complained about it much because I just take it to be the price for using chrome rather than firefox. (I've tried to switch back, but I'm addicted to the address bar functions of chrome, not to mention the quality tab functions. I miss not-chrome's bookmark management though)
You expect our resident troll to actually *read* things?
I read things sometim.... wait, you're talking about some OTHER troll coming in on my territory. sounds like I need to get out my troll beating club and defend my forum. *I* am the title of "resident troll" [e digicons]:troll:[/e] , and I want it to stay that way. there are so many "psycho" characters with no avatar I lose track of them.
