how often to you plan to update this ^_^ good job though next we need to have you updating with boogiebac's IRC comments

on time, in about 3-4 days
too bad I wasn't the first post. I was going to throw up some ass comment like " no... nobody does. not in the entire world. All the people playing online are bots or which don't count as people "
(obviously, ignoring those who honestly didn't know that fact about the company)
are you suggesting they DO know that Stardock is exclusivly windows? I'm not sure how you could tell the difference from a forum point of view. A counter tallying every time the question is asked on the forums would be pretty funny though. I bet google could do it (just search for all instances of "Mac" and "OS X" then look through them to remove discussi
so are we going to be expected to create several versions of whatever we mod so it can scale, or are the mod tools going to figure that stuff out for us? (I'm not sure how difficult it is to create an editor that takes a high quality image and figures out how to auto-adjust the resolution/poly-count to fit its needs)
there is an age where limiting gaming pleasure is a non issue? I too love the way SD treats its customers. just goes to show that if you treat your customers well and make a quality product, people will WANT to buy it.
I forgot about the option to over-ride font colors in your brower. Aesir is totally collect.
see this is why I said "tid-bits" and not anything definate. I still imagine X-com (is turn based) but I remember discussion about real-time something or other. I'm sticking to "not enough details to say"
Are they chaotic good? My guess is the person that wrote that one had to train a mean horse (I swear, some horses go out of their way to give novice trainers a hard time) Actually the whole animal int = neutral exists in 3rd as well. If it has int of 1-2 > then it is unable to have an alignment that isn't neutral (I believe it directly states that somewhere). From watching shows like "Unico" and "the Last Unicorn" as a child, I can't imagine they being dumb beas
only hints and tid-bits. If you're looking for anything definate, you're out of luck. You'll have to wait for the alpha (assuming they don't have auto-resolve in the alpha)
Unless you got a spectacular idea for a temporary avatar for me
but I do! I kinda figured you'd be the one who might object, but I think you'd like what I want to make for you. I'll create a sketch and catch you on IRC sometime to see what you think before I count you out. I'm happy with just swapping with wintersong, but I have such a good idea for your avatar (which is what gave me the idea actually)
it was fairly straight forward. It was a group project between me and 2 of my fellow AP comp. sci. classmates. It was not very long (only 10 levels, though room to expand. The rooms were only like 20x20, though in theory we could mod it to be bigger. We also expected to add additional levels, but we went off to college before we did anything of the sort) Did you use the "marine biology case study" as yart of your computer science class? (if not, ask for
Bah D&D 4th. Its a good hack and slash system, but alignment has no thought in it. They removed several archetype alignments, including "neutral good" which would be what a unicorn. Also arn't they also of animal inteligance in D&D 4th? I.E. are neutral because they arn't smart enough to have an alignment.
my first game was a flash game. It was to bad to be a rip-off of anything (it was a platformer) My second and third were in java and for java class. They were poker and a dungeon crawler (rip-off of moria?) respectivly. good job!
Luckmann: with a .psd, you just create a clipping layer, and there is no cutting required. Its "paste" and "save" Maybe "scale" to make the picture fit in the circle. I could show you if you wanted. Its really easy. (I usually do it on a higher resolution image if one is available THEN scale the image to 100x100 for the save for web) - also, would you like to be in the avatar swap? Darkodinplus: I wish I had
are you telling me that isn't a set of huge white striped breasts? Look like blue nipples to me. I might see some other 'pink' nether regions too now that I'm squinting and turning me head a little.
I don't think the one up there when I posted that did. It was some firy person, rather than that blue girl.
Frogboy said "then next 30 days" so if they have to delay a week or two, he will not have said anything wrong. From Boogiebac's post it is evident that there are chances of delays. Frogboy's FAQ I see as the "safe" post, where Boogiebac's I see as the "inside" post. It may not be the 25th, but I kinda doubt it will be 30 days either. Anyway, I'm not worried about it. Its the alpha, so I can't imagine it has very high standards for qua
yeah, whenever it is. wait, what? When did Frogboy say anything about 30 days? When/where was this? Last I saw was Boogiebac on twitter saying that its release next week depended on how much work was done "tomorrow" which in this case was now yesterday. I didn't expect to hear anything until monday (SD is usually quiet on weekends) I wasn't sure of any particular theme. I know Luckmann likes bears. I figured we should keep somethin
I'm personally tired of seeing former enemies team up to take down a new threat. Or the 'all for one, one for all' team.
well that is a very different kind of cliche compared to "unicorn = good white horse with horn". If you has a different suggestion as to how you might make a 'team' interesting, that doesn't include some previously used dynamic, you've likely found something that could make you a lot of money. Those are cliches because peopl
some of these questions have been very clearly answered already. Like "can we make our own spells" has a dev post explaining that we can. And "will the editor be in the beta" was answered specifically by frogboy in another thread. (thats a "yes" btw)
Well, Alpha's next week or something like that. And according to the 1 dev post we have that does talk about magic (to bad brad's FAQ didn't) we should get magic in the beta (and I'd assume alpha since they were working with it week ago). We'd have an idea by then at the very least.
I don't think of Geoff the Slug as a dungeon critter at all. He's an Independent Power. Maybe his Swamp would need to be built with the dungeon blocks instead of the code chunks behind a human or Fallen community, and maybe both the Swamp and Geoff need links to existing quests and hooks for links to new quests.
would/could his swamp not be a dungeon? If a dungeon is like an X-com battle, its perfectly reasonable to imagine a swamp as a possible dungeon loc
yeah, seriously. "no ally diplomacy for AI to human players"? That is exactly the kind of thing I want. Now I'm willing to go for a difficulty setting where the AI amasses against the human players, but I want to be able to manipulate the AI into attacking OTHER human players. I also don't want to be playing my game, happy as can be, when suddenly I cast a good spell or make a tech-breakthrough and suddenly every enemy lands on my island and starts to rape my fa
yeah, an evil unicorn isn't exactly amazing. its just an evil magical horse with a horn by concept. I like breaking cliches as much as the next guy, but I hang out with too many "idea guy" designers that think such an idea is "creative". But that being said, if somebody said "oh, I wish they had a yeti with horns in Elemental" I'd likely shrug it off as nothing exciting. But the yeti image above I think is a pretty awesome piece of art. So you can do anything w
