You know, I realized I forgot 3 characters in Master of Magic. I always assumed the characters in the opening sequence were Tauronn and Merlin, (with Tauron bearing a blue cloak for some reason) However, now that I have looked at it more closely, I realize, no... after looking at him, I discover he is rather different. His face is shapped a tad different, including different hair color, skin color, and ear rings. (or at least I think they are ear rings, otherwi

On the subject of adding and removing techs from the queue, wouldn't it be fair to just right click to remove them? Unless you plan to have the info card come from right click, but it seems more reasonable to assume that would occur if you just hold your mouse over the tech. In many games (and software), left click ands, right click removes. So I'd vote that to be fairly intuitive wait of managing it. In terms of the highlights and tabs, I appriciate white text vs

Frogboy promised us AI that was able to take mods into consideration. We'll see just how far that goes, but I imagine that if it effects anything beyond new units, buildings and techs, new events would be 1st other thing it could accomidate(provided they do similar things to existing events. Give something to a player, take away something from a player, create units, destroy units, etc. without getting too creative, at which point it sounds like you might be "codey" enough that yo

Yeah, but Python is easy enough that something as simple as adding to the random event list should be fairly easy. I mean the syntax isn't "plain english" but honestly, you should be able to look at existing script and copy easily enough for something like this. If the syntax still baffles somebody, then a few short tutorials might do it, but I honestly do not feel that is a majority. For more complex mechanics, of course better understanding will be nessicary, b

Bleem! was a PS emulator that ran a while in retail stores (I believe I bought my copy back in the day at EB games for like $15, which was my PS until I was able to obtain a hand me down) And Sony couldn't do anything about it until after they made a contract with Sega. So there must be a loophole there involved with emulators in terms to how it is considered "piracy" There is also general acceptance that emulators are legal, while using them is not on most sites I've seen re
Telling people to delete their win32 folder is not nice.
I think its funny. Sadly, windows won't let you completely mess it up that way (at least no modern version. windows ME might, because I swear it deleted itself sometimes), without at least some back-door like booting up another OS I don't think he was saying torrents are bad with that statement. I'm pretty sure he was just making a joke.

I'm sure we will be able to mod the events. I also suspect that we will also be able to to add other triggers that feature some sort of text pop-up and causes an eeffect.

perhaps we could have some sort of tweaking feature where you can adjust the length of weapons, reflecting in changes to reach and attack speed. Reduce weight, sharpen edge (increase damage for slashing) and other such features. It would be complex, but it sounds a lot easier than developing some sort of physics to calculate impact.
It is a mere demigod now.
We shall have to put it upon a mountain top with a bunch of other insanely nice computers and have them overclock at each other until they explode/meltdown/whatever. Last one processing will fill the empty seat in the pantheon. In theory, we would have to have several things involved, including highest clock-speed and video processing. Perhaps we could put the computers into teams and have them networked

Well, here are the other emblems given to use by Frogboy. I also turned the generic symbol (I assume to represent the 'tech' window) Right now they are very low resolution, because I ripped them from the image he posted with them in it. So I have 2 versions of each image. A high resolution (100x100) to maximize the size allowed for avatars on this site. and a "low" resolution which is the original resolution from the picture (so no 'fuzziness' from resizing)<

Anybody notice that glow in the upper left of the "education" tech's area? It looks like the light shinning through the clouds has clipped out of the emblem circle into the black area. either that or the little compass looking thing and that glow is ' "selection cursor" of some kind, in which case we really need to get something more apparent.

If he wasn't thinking about their comfort he would have said something else like "hedges allow for the over exposure of sun to naked wenches" Personally, I think about comfort and how it relates to sex all the

curses, the resolution of that image is not high enough for me to extract a quality rip of those emblems for use in avatars. I really like the bird over the field in farming. It makes me want to go role-play for some reason (I ran a campaign that took place in a world mostly covered in grasslands, of which that reminds me) I really like the sound of these random techs. I'm very curious to see how it will work. I can't imagine not having things l

I have discovered that if you have fixed quote formats, it messes up the quote formatting. If you start with a normal " [ quote ] " format, then have a complex [ quote who = "nyr blah man" replay = "xx" id = "xxxxxxx" ] it does not recognise the 1st [ /quote ] for some reason, and skips to the last [ /quote ]. This was discovered with IE 7. It looks a little different in Mozilla, but same issue.
In the sp
Happy Friday everyone!
aww, but I wanted to have a depressing Friday. Now I feel obligated to try to make it happy. I figured the hedges would be replaced with other kinds of walls once appropriate. I

I'm not as bothered by spliting infinitives, because I can still diagram the sentance at that point without some serious rearranging (prepositions seriously mess things up) I just havet he pet peeve about who/whom because of how often it is used. not enough dinosaurs in high fantasy things. I mean there is very often a T-rex or Dinonychus looking creatures, but not very often do you get things like triceratops, stegosaurus, or ankylosaurus running around. (I can think of a few examples of course, like warhammer, but I mean in general.) @Scountdog: I agree with your list except for spidery things, I expect those to be more common than undead, dwarves, gnomes, goblins, etc.
