I somehow doubt this game will be able to take advantage of more than 4GB of RAM, which is one of the only benefits to going 64-bit.
They already can do it on some levels, just not in any of the graphical builds because of Havok. Map size is limited by ram, and it isn't as simple as "limited to 4GB of ram". Certain variable peramiters must be set with small restrictions in 32-bit. A 32-bit machine
Like that.
*shh* you're logic stuff is no good hear. but yeah, on the alternate plane thing. The scope is apparently there were a few things that MoM 2 would feature, that would not be in Elemental to make sure that Elemental was its own entity, and that is pretty much the main thing that was in MoM that Elemental will likely not be seeing unless fans mod it in (that and your D&D ready cast of races) (I wish

man, the 3D map and workshop ('tile' building designer) is really awesome. As a tease (blame CaptWinky if you don't like being teased) I'm going to talk about it. The 3D map is about what you'd expect. I am sure when we get the beta, we'll be able to get an idea what the 3D map will be like based on whats on it. The game is really pretty though when you actually get your hands on it. And in the demo at PAX you quickly get around the fact that

Yeah, I'm having more fun that I thought I would. O.o I guess I'm too used to GDC (which is really dull by comparison)
Wait what no 3rd expansion?
I have to interject. When I said this above like verbatum to Blair, he responded by saying "no 3rd *MICRO* expansion." Of course he would say no more on the subject.

brad has said "is anybody here from Intel? We need a 64-bit version of Havok." I think in about every stage presentation I've seen him speak.

like what? There is a real trailer (or opening cutscene?) and its pretty awesome to watch. (my favorite part is where the dreadlord? is railing fire upon the city) but.... what would that tell you? You've either already found it on game trailers, or you're now angry at me for teasing XD I finally got a "no" out of boogie bac about the alternate world/underground. But of course it was a no with a '*' suggesting it 'could
Well the magic screen settles the "Which rune is air and which is earth?" question. Also, cards for the win!
there was a question about that? The filenames of the images when Frogboy originally posted them was like "air crystal" and "earth crystal" or something like that. I never knew somebody didn't know.

another thing to note... Why would slow upload matter in a turn based game? its not like LAG is going to be an issue. (it might in tactical battles, but they can just be turned off for slow connections)

you fix it by pressing that "HTML" button at the top of the edit window (next to the paint-brush and the Slimey face) and then remove the tags next to your text.

Sins and Demigod also had Collector's Editions. However, if you pre-ordered the digital-only version (which can't be collector's since there is no box), there was no way to upgrade to the CE box. However, it has been stated somewhere that "someday there may be an upgrade button" that would allow people to upgrade to the retail (and thus collector's) box. For the record, Stardock only sells the un-collector's edition box at retail outlets, and I guess when t
Landisaurus, yeah but you can hate someone, and distrust them..but if they're hugely more POWERFUL. Fear is a greater motivator.
Or perhaps we don't need a slider for "love" I realized I switched definitions of "Love" and "respect" as described above... Its the slider that I have a problem with, not the calculation. The enemy should always factor in power scale or level of threat. I think thats my problem with the
I'd also like to point out that there's more inbreeding today (closer) than there was in the mideval era. Cousin marriages that today would be allowed would be illegal back then. Although of course these rules were sometimes broken, as is life.
Wha? Many mideval royal families practically ONLY married cousins. On top of that, Mideval communities were generally so un-diverse that marrage between any members of the same community was looking

I'd be down for at least two sliders, trust-distrust, love-hate. I imagine that 'respect' would be shown somewhere in there. Or what relivance would it have on the diplomacy. If there is "Love/respect" it should be the same as really love. If its "love/disrespect" then they still love. If its Hate/respect, its the same as fear. Many games have this anyway when its max-hate but they haven't declared war yet. It really doesn't

Well, if sovereign death causes game over, and soveregns are very powerful. what you're going result is build towards a sovereign rush of some sort that is basically a suicide. Either it works and you win, or you lose the game. But at the same time, it could a tough to pull off but high risk game strategy that is both plausable and risky. I mean we have to see how the game is once its out, since we don't know enough about the core gameplay at this point.

I guess its just whoever makes something worth sharing first. I suspect desktop wall papers will be around very soon. Bannors, I know I need to do more research to see what might be the desired size expectations. With no signature's supported on this forum, I have no standard the way I do with the avatars. I might go ahead and have the sizes found on the Sins forum + those thin bar-strips (like a single image and some text) I've seen some

I might agree with Kitkun that jpeg wasn't the best choice. Though I don't see any obvious jpeg compression spots, I can't help but feel its there. Anyway, I think I'd have to ask if there is a point between 75 soft and none? Like end of days asks? Its the ground texture in my opinion that makes the call. While the fog is obviously better in the HDR shots, the ground texture becomes very hard to see, especially in the darker area on the right.<

desktops? you mean like wallpaper? or like windows blinds skins? if its wallpaper I might already have wintersong beat (I have a demigod wallpaper thread somewhere too) shouldn't luckmann get a piece of the action?

I assumed people would come there, it wouldn't be like a wide scale immigration. The immigration would only only be a factor when a city springs to life magically amoungs the dead wastelands of post-cataclysm world. Its simply a veil to explain why essense can be expanded to create a city, yet the channeler cannot just make people exist.

its a trick question! in a way I have already started moding with some 3D models (see related thread ). However, I won't be able to add said 3D models until the 3D part of Elemental comes out.that may not be this year. So chances are the 1st thing I'm going to mod is either some 2D images, or character/creature, provided the related editors are available right away. If not... then I'l

I would never compare the spell of mastery to 'nukes' as I always imagined it to opperate in a very different way. Total control of magic. At that point resistance would serve no purpose. It wouldn't be like dropping a nuke. It would be like snapping your fingers and armies would suddenly no longer exist.
