Is there a Dev Tracker feature I'm missing? I've found that a lot of interesting/relevant/important info said by developers is buried in the middle of very long threads, and the 'find posts' feature, unhelpfully only lists the topics that they /created/, not that they replied to. If there isn't one, it would be something useful to add.

One of the big problems with 'organic' roads is it really only works over really short distances - you can't make a massive kingdom-spanning 'highway' style road.. not all cities are going to be right next to each other, i'd think.
[quote who="Magicke" reply="33" id="2548797"] Interesting; not sure if I like that Frogboy says "Death Magic isn't about killing things. Death Magic is about using the energy released when death occurs." Reaon why I say that is because in fantasy gaming I tend to think of Death Magic as Evil Magic. So in Death Magic you would have access to summoning demons and devils, dark rituals to enslave or destroy, minions who seek to dominate through
If it makes you feel any better, Age of Wonders/2/shadow magic works that way, exactly. Let's say you cast a spell that turns all terrain within your domain to wastelands except for your cities, and it costs.. 300 mana, and you have.. 50 casting skill.. it'd take 6 turns, normally. Each turn, you still have 50 casting skill to use in combat, but if you go into combat and using all 50 points, you'd have to take an extra turn to finish casting Deadlands, as you have no spell skill that turn to
Now I wish there was some good screenshots of graphics-engine comparisons of what the Life lands will look like vs the Death lands

Or people wont wana play tactical battless cause it does the job for them. You still hota give actualy playing the battle the edge. The key, I think, is an autoresolve that isn't a substitute for fighting serious battles with a chance that either side can win, but IS predictably successful when attacking a weak force with a strong one. A mop-up autor
Ah! that makes things seem like they make a lot more sense - one would assume not all of the Titan's creations feel the need to follow in their creators footsteps so to speak.
So.. one of the main features of the game is how the lands of the human kingdoms and the Fallen empires will be different due to humans using life magic and fallen using death magic, right? As far as I can tell, Life Magic restored-land gives you an eden with incredibly fertile land, pleasant weather, tons of plant and animal life, and a generally easier place to live in. On the other hand, Death Magic gives you a barely-survivable wasteland, where food no doubt does not grow ne
Seems fairly original to me - they're modified/improved/tampered with humans, not different 'species' in the traditional fantasy sense.. And there's only one type of 'elf'. While all the kingdoms are just flat out humans, just with different human 'races' in the real world sense, on top of different cultures
